The original poster meant FATCA - the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act. This is causing foreign banks to refuse to do business with American expats, even those with legitimate business interests abroad. It is one more way - supported by both parties - for FedGov to claim US citizens are the property of the state.

Any Republican office holder who voices the slightest support for this type of law should be instantly primaried...if citizens were actually paying attention.
