The Hill: Jeb Bush Considering 2016 Run (stay out of da Bushes alert!)

The Hill is reporting that supporters of Jeb Bush are claiming he’s already considering a presidential run.

Jeb Bush, brother and son of former Bush presidents, is said to be mulling a presidential run in 2016, according to the New York Times.

The Times cites Bush supporters and friends in its report that the former Florida governor is “weighing financial and family considerations” for a future run.

Though Bush remains popular in Florida and has garnered national attention with his support for immigration and education reform, there is lingering concern that the persistent unpopularity of the last Bush to hold the White House, his brother President George W. Bush, could hinder his bid.

Jeb is a pro-amnesty liberal former governor who is part of the family dynasty that has nearly killed the GOP—and led to President Obama.

GW Bush was demonized by the Press from the get-go after the exceedingly close election in 2000 (fraught with fraud by the Dems back then). I was in Florida and didn’t vote for him because he was big govt.compassionate conservative, which translates into just another Lib - both he and Gore were so unappealing. Little did I know that Florida would be the show-down state.

The Bushes are all part of the Bigger Globalist Machine and should be avoided at all cost. If the Repubs don’t do what the Dems did and start embracing the Right wing and ignore the moderates, then we are screwed forever. Definitely need to start working on a 3rd Party - I liked what Virgil Goode said, now to find someone who can say it so enough will listen.

She did nothing to help in this last election.

I’ll make sure to pass that along to congressman-elect Yoho, Senators-elect Ted Cruz, and Deb Fischer (not to mention the others in 2012/2010)

GOPe basically told her to get lost and not show up to the convention. You know that has gotta be the low point of the campaign (not to mention RNC rules 12 and 16).

As to the 1/2 term and other stuff, if the hacks still don’t know of her accomplishments and why she left in 2009, I kindly refer them to the documentary “The Undefeated”....but something tells me that such people are a lost cause. After the bogus ethics complaints and Giffords shooting, there’s a certain segment who wants to push away anyone not part of the establishment. Either that or they give up to easily.

Perhaps she has been out of the spotlight so as to give the establishment enough rope to hang themselves with. Yup, they sure did.

Does not really matter who the GOP runs, as the Rats will never lose another election in my lifetime. The fix is in.

Oh, I can imagine the GOP winding up with Jeb Bush as the nominee. After all, for the past few years the Party has done just everything it humanly could to drive me away, and that would certainly follow the same old pattern. No way in hell would I ever give him my vote.

My first choice is Palin. Preferably, in fact, on the ticket of a new “tea party.” I’m at the end of the rope in regards to the GOP, which no longer appears to share any of my values, as it has continued to ditch interest in fiscal restraint, social issues, reform, and just about everything that once attracted me to it. Third-party... I’m ready. Especially if the same GOP-E scumbags bring about the same old crap, like they are already heralding. Beyond that, even the once far-flung notion of “secession” is truly looking more like a genuine answer.

With all do respect you don’t know what you are talking about... The GOPE didn’t invite her (shut her out) of the convention, in fact Prebuis or whatever his name is as the RNC head lied and said that Sarah wanted to stay up there in Alaska during the convention which isn’t what Sarah said or actually did during that time

Need to create a new party and run the people we want for president not the rinos. The problem as I see it is we have bad candidates and a bad party. They will not stand up for the good guys and will fight not the bad guys. The GOP is collapsing and is no good. The GOP is not my friend.

As long as we run McCain and Bush and Romney’ then people will have a confused idea about what conservatives stand for. And neither one of those three loser idiots was conservative. I’m leaving the GOP myself soon when I re-register. Had it with them.

You have idiot “Tea Party” guy Marco Rubio advocating Amnesty. You have idiot “Tea Party” guy Chris Christie supporting Radical Islamist. You have “ Tea Party” gal Nikki Haley supporting Romney in the primaries when she needed to WAKE UP and see he was no good.

I want the GOP to collapse first because they seem to be the problem to me. They are keeping America from following the path of the founding fathers and limited government.

Tea Party has some problems as well if many people they supported are traitors. Not all but some high profile people like Rubio, Christie, Haley, Jan Brewer and Scott Brown.

The liberals probably should be worried about Jeb Bush, ..... He’s an engaging person and a good speaker and very conservative, and he had a lot of appeal to everyone of any ethnic group.

Conservative???LOL yea, tell me another outright lie. The Bush's are rabid Statists to their core.

I will NEVER cast a vote for another Bush for as long as I live. America doesn't need dynasties or another member of the arrogant political class.

I would be so disgusted with the GOP-e if this pig is nominated that I may do something I have yet to do -- pull the vote for a RAT.

The Bush's big government programs and non-restraint of domestic government spending gave rise to the Clintons and the Marxist Obamsa.

H*ll NO to any Bush!!!!!

Jeb Bush may be a good candidate, I honestly don’t know very much about him. What I do know is that the D’s have spent hundreds of millions of dineros attacking and vilifying the Bush name.
This alone would make another Bush candidacy a very problematical proposition. I’d recommend Jeb wait awhile, until the tarnishing of his family wears off. I doubt it will do so by 2016, and Jeb looks young enough to wait awhile?

Certainly the R party can find another candidate for 2016 who, at the very least, has an untarnished name ... and thus, I believe, a better chance of winning?

what did Jeb do? couldn’t even deliver his home state. Frankly, if it wasn’t for Ralph Nader, Elian Gonzales, and some admittedly confusing ballots he wouldn’t have delivered it back in 2000, either.

What did Rubio do? Didn’t deliver his home state. Didn’t even deilver hispanics in his home state. Depending on which exit polls you look at, he didn’t even deliver Cubans in his home state.

What did Christie do?

What did Ryan, Santorum, Gingrich, etc... do?

I’d agree she didn’t do much to help on the Presidential level, but then again, no one else did, either.

Why would Palin have helped the Judas’ that stab her in the back, and tried to destroyed her political career. She was smart to stay away from Rudy McRomney he was rammed down our throats as a thirty percent candidate. Sixty five percent of the right hated his efin guts. Most of us still despise the fool and the GOPe.

She did nothing to help in this last election and I got the feeling she was burned out. Frankly, I think she'd probably be happy if we moved on.

Palin was the single most effective republican of the 2012 cycle, as she was in the 2010 cycle, so what are you talking about?

Our only Senate pickup was from Palin, with Deb Fischer taking Ben Nelson's seat and defeating Senator Bob Kerry for it.

You aren't ecstatic about Ted Cruz defeating Dewhurst in Texas? He was another Palin victory, along with her assorted house victories.

As to the 1/2 term and other stuff

Something that is a first for all of us, is when they use the "1/2 term", or "2 years", or 24 months, description of her in the Governor's office.

Never in our lives have we ever seen 32 months rounded off to 24 months, or 2 years, or 1/2 of 4, instead of 3 years, why don't they just call it the actual 32 months, or round it off to 3 years if they must?
