I found it to be somewhat interesting until the list included DDT, which is pure slander. DDT was a godsend, and claiming it was a worst invention by any measure is utter BS.

DDT saved more lives than the combined efforts and intentions of all liberals throughout history.

Betamax

Actually Betamax was a great invention, superior to VHS in almost every way. What killed it was Sony's legal and marketing strategy that made it cost prohibitive for studios and the fledgling tape rental market to use, thus forcing them into the VHS standard.

DDT literally saved millions of lives in India and the subcontinent. Rachel Carson and her book Silent Spring got DDT banned and therefore is responsible for millions of deaths.

Betamax was killed by lack of recording capacity.

Can’t get as much porn on a Betamax as on a VHS?

Seriously, this is probably what killed it.

The Pinto and Aztec make the list; but not the Edsel?

And they’re wrong about DDT.

Read Nat Geo July 2007, and you’ll see that it was especially effective and necessary in the third world reduction of malaria

THAT is the reason it was banned!

Third world populations had MILLIONS of lives saved and the eugenic West, population control crowd would have none of THAT!

I take umbrage with autotune being on the list. While it should have never been brought into the music studio, for it’s ACTUAL intended use (oil exploration), autotune is awesome.

Even worse...they listed Asbestyos as an invention developed in the 20th Century.

Maroons!

Agent Orange never hurt anybody.
Ford Pinto was a cost effective car.
Tanning beds give a tan for lower health risk than the sun.
Plastic grocery bags save resources (money, especially).
Pay toilets are a free market device that help ensure that there is a (clean) toilet when you need one. The alternative is usually no toilet.
Crocs are perfectly good, but the catty snobs think they’re ugly.

A dumb list that a shallow pretentious yuppie would assemble.

DDT and asbestos both have crucial uses that saved millions of lives. The Segway? Other than being expensive it’s a very useful thing in the right application. And Crocs? Just because they’re not fashionable for your stuffy dinner parties? They’re great on the beach.

Dumb list.
