Snowing huh? It looked almost like a snow sky here yesterday - not a lot of sun, some wind blowing the leaves around and just looked gloomy all day (I loved it!).....walked outside in my bare feet, capri pants and a tshirt..... apparently NOT about to snow. ;^)

Just a coating to an inch. Not sticking to the roads. We had a tiny bit of snow on the grass Saturday morning.

Back in my salad days, I was a bona fide Libtard until reality hit me in the face and converting me into what I once derided as a Right Wing Nutjob.

Ignore my first posted comment; grammar error. Haven’t had my first cup of coffee and pressed “post” before proofreading!

Second posted comment is the correct version.

Cheers

This dude's salad days> are nothing like those of real Americans. We are stuck with him thanks to the great illiterati but we should be working locally and within our states to undo his damage.

Posted a different article than I thought up there. That’s okay, Glenn Beck mocked BK soundly yesterday and he deserved every minute of it.

Kristol, a man who thinks that Jeffersonian democracy can spring up in the middle east and also thought McCain would make a good president. He’s the worst.

I dropped Kristol over 4 years ago. Love the mute button, though some days I just turn the whole thing off.

thank God for books, Words with Friends and Songpop. xshub has to hope that SU has a good basketball season bc that is all he is left with. the weekly standard and national reviews that come in the mail go unread.
i’m hoping that xsboy makes the SU hockey road trip to U of DE this coming weekend so we can drive up to see him. Life sucks without hockey. the squad is so big that they don’t all get to travel. we will make a side trip to King of Prussia mall if we do go, xsgirls and i.

I read the new Janet Evanovich book in one day this weekend. Laughed out loud all day. Yes, thank God for books. It’s going to be a long bleak winter watching Obama lord it over us, while freezing in the dang frozen cold tundra...yep, I need my distractions. Spent yesterday getting in some shopping therapy. It worked!

Speaking of Words w Friends....I was talking about it at Thanksgiving dinner.....said I beat all my friends except for ONE person.....and she is a FReeper. So my SIL starts a game with me......she is losing by over 70 points on just a few words each. I told her on Thanksgiving that I needed some serious competition to keep me humble and she sent me a request the next day. LOL

salad days

My salad days were a solid daze I see as through a haze distressing and patiently await the day when I can get my share of the tasty salad dressing.

So callow youth, you know the truth, when you feel those hurts it's simply what is being served up as your just desserts. (Doggerel for Dogs)

America’s wonderful salad days
Our great Davy Crockett in ballad days
Are mocked by the left
Who’ve become very deft
At bemoaning our country’s “invalid ways”

In the past day, i saw Jamie Fox refer to him as our lord and savior, i saw something about a college band at half time spelling out OBAMA on the field and now this. How are we not living out the book of Revelations right here and now.

In thinking about salad days and recent presidents, Bush conjures up ranch, Obama definitely is Caesar, while Clinton evokes blew cheese.

There’s also a newer place in Delmont, but we’ve never been.

In all the previous elections, Broward County used to give a little sticker that said “MY VOTE COUNTED”. This time, however, the sticker said: “I VOTED”.

I should have realized they were up to SOMETHING!

Regained consciousness in the hospital following a 72-hour salad daze.

Snow, huh? It is 56, breezy and clear here-the leaves are turning and starting to fall-I’m thinking of going way into the woods later this afternoon with a book, a snack and one of those fabric bags-that I do NOT use for groceries-to collect some fall foliage and flowers to brighten up the kitchen...

Even in my salad days
I had some questions about
Things I was told are free-
I was a prisoner of doubt

How is it free, I asked-
Does no one have to pay?
What if they need tomorrow
The money they spent today?

So, now that money was wasted
It didn’t accomplish a lot
But to teach more lazy people
To want what others have got
