The Most Dangerous Colleges In America
Business Insider ^ | 11/20/2012 | Abby Rogers and Gus Lubin

College is hard enough without having to worry about serious crime. Yet crime is a reality on and around many college campuses.

The FBI's Unified Crime Report identified 2,696 violent crime incidents and 87,160 property crime incidents on and around college campuses in 2011.

We ranked the most dangerous colleges by averaging FBI crime data per capita from 2008 to 2011 for schools with enrollment over 10,000. Schools were ranked based on a combination of violent crime rank and property crime rank, with violent crime weighted four times higher.

NOTE: Some people have objected to our use of FBI data because (1) not all schools participate in the survey and (2) some schools are more aggressive than others in reporting crime in neighboring noncampus areas.

In response to criticism, we prepared an alternate list based on on-campus crimes tracked for the Clery Act. We are happy to report, however, that this alternate ranking produced remarkably similar results — suggesting that both lists are good at identifying dangerous colleges. For instance, two schools which objected vocally to our original list — UCLA and UC-Riverside — were also named among the most dangerous colleges based on this new data set.

We have included responses submitted by various schools on their respective slides.

Look at the details in the 2nd link. They fell off the list that only counts on-campus violence, leading me to wonder if they are counting some of the area over the tracks to the west.

My son was accepted into USC’s MBA program. As much as he wanted to move to CA. , he wasn’t impressed with the area.

Well, I can only speak to NC A&T, but it’s in a lousy part of town. I don’t go there during the day, on campus or off.

Yeah sure.

Show me the post except mine that says literally:

The democrat party is the biggest threat to freedom or to America. I'll be waiting for nothing. And then show me who has proposed a way to fight the democrat party. We can't even begin to fight if we don't EXPLICITLY name the enemy.

Oh I've seen a million posts against the GOP , Republicans, the Republican party, etc. but i see that on the mainstream media too( the media who are the democrat party also by the way). People might name that the media is a threat but they don't explicitly name that the media and the democrat party are one.

We have to indentify , name the source of all the evil and that is the democrat party. then step 2 we have to put forth solutions to stop the democrat party Which solutions have you seen on here or anywhere? I ‘ve seen none . Oh I've seen suggestions of starting a 3rd conservative party as if there weren't a hundred already including libertarian party , constitution party etc. but those posts are mainly intended as a complaint against the REPUBLICAN party. The first step is to identify the problem ( the enemy) .Then we all have to focus on neutralizing that problem or stopping the enemy . I haven't seen everyone or even a majority on here or anywhere even agree on that which is also a step (focusing all energy on neutralizing the biggest threat). Then focusing all energy on that then once the democrat party is destroyed then we can all go after the GOP as that seems to be the consensus here ( destroying the GOP).
