I got queasy just watching the video.
I hear your tensors flexing.
I did some climbing in my youth but nothing anywhere close to the difficult climbs this guy does.
Knew a guy who free climbed a 300’ 5.6 that we did on belay and thought he was insane. He took the same approach to riding a motorcycle. He was a better climber than rider and died in the saddle.
Oh, okay. I played a very tiny bit of the first one on Orange Box. We mostly played Half-Life 2.
Oh well, I guess we will see how the two game's storylines connect in Portal 3 and Half Life 3

I did make it through the video but not without plenty of autonomic fear responses of my own.
Back in the day I owned a climbing school/guide service and was spending around 150 days a year on the rock. I free climbed a bit, mostly 5.6-5.8 and all under 100 feet.
Looking back on that time makes me realize that although freeing a wall is the ultimate expression of the sport, only a precious few should attempt the things that Hollold does... and even then, for a very short window of time.

I gotta say I have no idea who Gabe Newell is. Though I do know Leroy Jenkins.
