I had a press pass in 1976-1977 at the Marquette Games when McQuire was coach, Raymonds was assistant coach and Majerus was the assistant to the assistant.

Rest in peaceThat will be unlikely to occur if Majerus never stopped being a proponent of infanticide.

McGuire was probably my favorite coach, and I always enjoyed when he announced the games....hasn’t been the same without him.

You forgot: if someone was good at sports, we are supposed to ignore the fact that he was evil.
For his sake, let's hope he had an epiphany before his heart gave out.
To: Perdogg
And he was a finalist for the Minnesota Gophers coaching job that went to Tubby Smith.

Majerus also interviewed for Long Beach State job in 2007 and would have been head coach except that Long Beach State officials were concerned about his health. He withdrew from consideration, probably best for him as the Long Beach State job is a difficult one.
The job went to Dan Monson who Tubby Smith preceded at Minnesota.

I grew up across the street from Hank Raymonds. I still remember the National Championship year. It was something special.
This is a sad day.

RIP Rick. I can’t believe this didn’t happen many years earlier
