Sure, it's sort of useful for instantly transmitting global news and completing important business transactions, but the Internet is truly about cats. They're the Internet's most enduring draw and always will be. Long after One Direction puts out its 50th year reunion album and Obama is known mostly as the dignified face on the $1,500 bill, there will still be images of cats napping in bedroom slippers. Their appeal is universal, and while we’re sure puppies and baby pandas will always have their place, cats dominate internet consciousness. As we barrel towards 2013, here’s a gallery of the most influential cats of 2012.

Here are numbers one and two of the most influencial cats of 2012 for me:

Stella is the catnip junkie in our house. Beaux just seems to enjoy watching her than him getting something out of it. Guess he lacks the "catnip gene".

When Stella first starts out, she gets a whole body sniff and face full. Then she starts rolling around, kicking her back legs in a way that we call, "starting her Harley", then she tries to do somersaults. She'll be "on" for about five minutes and then, poof, like nothing ever happened. Hilarious! What funny things does yours do?

As cool and funny as Tard’s face looks I think there is something wrong with him. He looks unhappy, sure but I really think he *is* unhappy. The same genetic defect that gives him this face makes him walk funny. Healthy cats don’t walk the way this one does. I just hope he’s not suffering.
