The Presidents attempts at bowdlerizing The Constitution have, sadly, been rather successful.
To prevent further grade inflation, I have re-scaled the curve. The highest grade will be A+++.
No pushing at the door please!

He has literally bowdlerized the Declaration by removing references to the Creator.

Bowdlerize
Noooo problemo. Take a big piece of rock and break it up into bowdlers. Also the name of a city in Colorado, Bowdler.
That’s bowdlerize.

So far, it's as good a morning as we're going to get until we elect a capitalist to the highest office in the land.

I bowdlerized my own work once. I hated the result.
It was more offensive than the “offensive” material that was expurgated.
My reactions were an education on their own.

Whenever I see an R-rated movie edited for network television, I have to laugh when a stone killer’s words are changed to “gosh darn” from Rev. Wright’s favorite expression.

The NHL network bowdlerized the Caps-Penguins 24-7 series for TV, and the result was hysterical. Bruce Boudreaux’s string of F words was even more hilarious as bleeps.

There was a similar video on former Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda, who was reknowned for his ability to put the F-word before, after, and even between words. Un-freaking-believable!

"The NHL network bowdlerized the Caps-Penguins 24-7 series for TV, and the result was hysterical. Bruce Boudreauxs string of F words was even more hilarious as bleeps." I always thought R2-D2's communication skills were inexplicably deficient. Then I realized that as a repair robot, he was using salty language to disparage the idiots who kept breaking his bairns.
It all makes sense, now.

My grandpa’s old round black hat was too large for me ...
And when I put it on my 4 year old grandkids, it fell down bowldereyes ... and they couldn’t see out.

There are a lot of interesting matchups, particularly Notre Dame vs. Alabama.

Interesting perspective.

The Democrats want to raise revenue and the Republicans want to reform entitlements. Those goals would seem to be easily reconciled just do some of each, or even lots of each. But it only seems that way because we dont often think about why the parties want these things. Simply (and surely somewhat too simply) put, the Democrats want more money so that the entitlement system doesnt have to be reformed, while the Republicans want to reform the entitlement system so that the government doesnt have to take more of the countrys money or take up even more of the economy. That means that doing some of each, let alone lots of each, doesnt give both parties what they want, it gives both parties what they are desperately trying to avoid.
