James Taylor said he “really suffered” under eight years of “Cheney/Bush,” while speaking at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on Friday about election reform.

“It was sort of natural, being so politically active over the years, that I would get involved in the campaign of 2008,” Taylor said. “I really—I was hugely motivated also by eight years of Cheney/Bush, and I say it in that order on purpose.”

“Those were—it was a tough time for me,” he said. “I really suffered.” …

Obviously, he didn’t suffer nearly enough. He’s still here.

First, Liberals begin with a bunch of idiotic nostrums (like pseudo socialism its Fabian phase), crazy desiderata, and mutually exclusive claptrap. Soon after, we realize that it’s not really even about their putative goals. It’s really all about how they feel; they’re suffering because they didn’t get their way. As the nation really suffers under Obama, as much of the unemployed are not even counted now to make sure the unemployment rate drops, as the nation becomes more and more in debt, Liberals feel good because they won! Yippee. They’re too weird to understand as normal adults.

Perhaps he suffered....but he still bought his coffee at Starbucks, drove his SUV around the countryside, sold albums, did concerts, bought L L Bean clothing, stayed at fancy hotels along the North Carolina Outer Banks, and shopped at CostCo. During that eight-year period....he suffered better than suffered badly.

If that is truly suffering....there’s about 900 million guys around the globe who’d be happy to suffer like that...in America.

I’d be suffering too, if married to CARLY Simon.

I suspect he had his eye on that Simon & Schuster money, back then.

As I was listening to the radio today, and once again, fearing for the future and my kid’s future, and trying to figure out the best ways to plan ahead I thought “I sure would like to be a Liberal now! Then I would be happy! Obama is making a lot of progress. The economy is on the upswing, unemployment is going down, the best year in a long time for Christmas spending, people can finally get health insurance.... Yep - it is ‘Springtime in America’”

And then I snapped out of it.

"I felt as though after September 11, the diversion, the distraction of the nation’s concern and energy into Iraq was unpardonable... I was very deeply motivated in 2008 to see Barack Obama—this wonderful, sort of a surprise, really, I couldn’t believe our luck that we had gotten such a real person"

Lemme' see here, Jim...you believe a terrorist attack on U.S. soil resulting in the death of some 3,000 people was a "diversion," a "distraction." Yet you view Obama, a man we know nothing about; a man with a completely fabricated background, to include "composite" girl friends, as "real." FUJT.

James, you made more sense when you were on drugs. Please spare us your feminized nonsense. Time to grow up. How old are you now? Trouble with people who sing well: they assume that they are also intelligent and educated. NOT!

He should have been flogged every day.

At least he’d have something to whine about.

Yeah, I couldn't believe our "luck", either. It would've been like the late Ed McMahon showing up at our front door telling me I'd just won $20 million and then him saying, "Sucker !" and kicking me hard in the nuts. Well, at least I would've gotten to meet Ed.

Who ever told Taylor that he could sing? His Christmas songs suck and are off key. I turn the station every time I hear one of his nails-on-chalkboard tunes!
