A few years ago I started posting an annual pet Christmas/Holiday photo thread. IMHO, this is a good time to look back and be grateful for our furry friends that have joined and left us during the past year. No manger scene is complete without a few critters, so let's see them!!

Our Lucy (RIP) looked JUST like that as a kitten, including the mustache. We debated naming her “Hitler” but compromised with “Lucy.”

These two sisters are our newest girls:
They came to us last spring. The couple who got them as kittens decided they couldn’t handle the cats with a baby on the way. (Silly, I know!) They gave them to her father, who unfortunately had a rescue dog who didn’t like cats. They also wanted to go outside, but coyotes used to lounge on his deck. We heard about them thru a friend, & took them as they were going to be euthanized. (The father had taken them to the Humane Society to find a new home, but they were only given two weeks.) So now they live with us. Bajka, the long-hair, is absolutely a dear – never fusses about anything. Kali, is her polar opposite – always getting into hissing fits with our other three. Still they’ve adjusted nicely & are good lap cats.
