Nothing to smirk, strut and style about, Mr. President. You're going to have a really bad second term.

Much of New York City still isn’t counted; there are probably at least 500,000 more Obama votes nationwide that haven’t been counted.

Bush claimed to be a Conservative. That's why he got more votes than Oboma.

The GOP just doesn't get it. Conservatism always wins.

Those numbers are not relevant. Bush voters will only vote once.

Bush wasn’t that conservative.

He had both houses and wasted it. Don’t get me wrong I like Bush, but given were we are and what Obama did, I wish Bush would of pressed the conservative agenda more aggressively.

There is alot regulations and tax code issues that will never be fixed - Denny Hastert & Bill Frist weren’t barn burner visionaries.

Seems like we forget these guys - who really could of made a difference.

The dilatory vote count in Democrat jurisdictions is just another card up their sleeve. They didn’t need to play it this time, but if they ever do need it, they can point back to prior elections and say, “we’re always slow.” (Though you need a good imagination to think CA and NY will ever be that much in play). Come on-— California had its closely divided referendum votes tallied within 24 hours.

Big deal. Seriously are we trying to find anything that will make us happy about the election. This is just plain weird. We lost and it sucks but I blame the Republicans 100 percent. I blame people here for bashing the polls. If we had taken the polls seriously and not shout from the rooftops that we had this in the bag than perhaps Romney the creep would have had a GOTV program. Instead he and some here said that it was going to be a landslide election so everyone shrugged and said, “why work? We won anyway”. About the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

Bush wasn’t that conservative.

Yeah, I know. That's why I slipped in the word "claimed".
Voters believed he was, and that's why he won.

When candidates run as serious conservatives, they win. The tax slaves actually have someone they can vote FOR.

I’ve been looking for this data! Thanks for providing it to us!

BTW, the figures in the article don’t add up:

” - - - Year
Total V.A.P. Total REG* % REG of V.A.P * Turnout
% TO of V.A.P.
1960
109,672,000 63,854,789 * 58.22% 68,838,204
62.77%

Show that in 1960 there were about 5 million more people voting than were registered. Was this their typo, or reality?

Take a look here:http://uselectionatlas.org/RESULTS/; go back to the ‘60 election on the drop-down Take a look at the Ohio turnout for example 117% of registered voters! I don’t have any idea how that stuff happened. You can scroll through year by year and see that kind of result.

Polls and votes do not matter in any way whatsoever.

You are long since in African dictator / Ayatollah territory.

” serious conservatives”

I think the problem is that the term you used means alot to many people. If a candidate doesn’t meet ALL of the criteria he or she won’t get elected.

The GOP used to be a big tent and we were a tolerant lot - there social conservatives and some not so social conservatives, there environmentalists, etc. The media successfully spun up hatred of Bush and then reflected that to the GOP. The GOP became the party of anti-entitlements when people were needing handouts - Obama has successfully sustained the recession and is the caring overlord. Republicans playing an old school game of politics got creamed by Obama’s marketing team.

I think your assumption about conservative voters will be tested in 2014 - Obama will roll out his target marketing election system to more democrats by then.

Voter Age Population data PING.

57.48 % of us gave Obama 52 +/- % of our vote = 29. 89 % chose Obama for the rest of the 70.1 %.

IOW, 3 people out of 10 have chosen how all of us will live for the next 4 years.

I’m sick and tired of being subject to these grifters who manage to show up in enough numbers to steal from those of us who work. And I’m sick and tired of being subject to the idiots we see on Jaywalking or other “man on the street” interviews who have no idea about the Revolutionary War ...or other major events and what we were fighting for. Even worse, they and others think that stupidity is funny. All they know is race, gays, fair share i.e. someone else pays for me.

Why should I have to pay for these people?????? We need another country.
