ohnstown, PA (GlossyNews) Local and state police scoured the hills outside rural Johnstown, Pennsylvania, after reports of three animal rights activists going missing after attempting to protest the wearing of leather at a large motorcycle gang rally this weekend. Two others, previously reported missing, were discovered by fast food workers duct taped inside fast food restaurant dumpsters, according to police officials.
Something just went wrong, said a still visibly shaken organizer of the protest. Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.
The organizer said a group of concerned animal rights activists, growing tired of throwing fake blood and shouting profanities at older women wearing leather or fur coats, decided to protest the annual motorcycle club event in a hope to show them our outrage at their wanton use of leather in their clothing and motor bike seats.
In fact, said the organizer, motorcycle gangs are one of the biggest abusers of wearing leather, and we decided it was high time that we let them know that we disagree with them using it, ergo, they should stop.

Ping to my favorite leather-wearing Hooligans.
I read a comment on previous posting of this....it’s fictitious.
Nice photo though.
I...hope...this...is...for...real....!

I find the statement the height of arrogance, the height of what is wrong with the country, and the height of stupidity, all three of which are connected on a level that is mostly not appreciated by the American people.

Sorry....I couldn’t stop laughing long enough to care if it was true or not. :)
It sounds like a good way to either die or just hurt REAL bad!
darn! picture made my day! If I was a cannibal I’d wonder if PETA members taste good with A-1 sauce!
It’s truly hilarious...and what makes it so funny is the plausibility of it all, actually being true.
VERY clearly shows the mindset of about half our countrymen... "I don't like it, therefore you have to alter YOUR lifestyle or opinions or habits or culture to accommodate ME."
Would be pathetic if the numbers of those in this camp weren't so frightening now.

That’s the best laugh I’ve had in a very long time.
Thanks! I needed that!
The should have taped him up there nude....just for that final humiliation.
Cows wear leather. If it’s good enough for cows it’s good enough for me!

I hope he hasn't just had a large cup of coffee.

“This is the West, sir. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend”
Common sense would tell you that this is too good to be true...
In all fairness, bikers do encounter far more than their fair share of “dumbasses”, in just about any situation. And the vast majority of the time they just brush it off.
There are some things that really tick them off, however.
Since they often are at the scene of other peoples’ accidents first, they often try to render aid, especially if an injured party is sympathetic, like women and children.
But they get very peeved when someone is DUI and causes an accident. They rightfully see this as a random act of violence against innocent people, drunks who will run into bikers as much as a school bus full of children.
Bikers have also been known to coordinate with truckers and police to box in and capture drunks in cars before they can kill somebody.
Many readers who encountered this tale out of its original context via e-mail forwards and web site repostings did take it at face value, but it was nothing but a bit of satire which was published on The Spoof! web site on 3 January 2010 and (in slightly different form) on the Glossy News web site four days later. (The former site included a disclaimer noting that “The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious,” while the latter site describes itself as “an accredited online satirical publication.”)
The spoof spread so widely that the local newspaper in the town where the fictitious story was set, the Johnstown [Pennsylvania] Tribune-Democrat, received numerous inquiries asking why it hadn't covered the incident:

Ha!! Best posting of the week!
DH just bought two LEATHER motorcycle jackets from a guy selling them along the side of the road — he’d had a close call and the wife said “either her or the motorcycle!!”
(Hell, I’d be terrified to say that in my house! The bike came with my marriage!! The bike was here FIRST — who am I to try to separate a MAN from his hog??
DH said the jackets were worth at least $250 apiece, one he said was probably around $500. The poor guy parted with them for $30 for both. Both had hardly been worn.
DH just yelled to send PETA over to our house — and tell ‘em not to pack a lunch, they won’t be here that long...
After seeing that idiot duct taped to a tree, I’m reminded of this quote a FReeper posted last week:
Ridicule is mans most potent weapon

Keep it coming.
Still laughing!
I’m more concerned about the wiring in the background.
Is this a young Karl Rove?
protest America, blame America for all the world's ills -- but never protest where there could be opposition unless it is the police who can then be reviled by the MSM employees.
It is OK to bravely protest America in foreign countries but only with the approval and help of the governments of the countries.
The Lefty pukes are happy and proud of their bravery assailing elderly Americans and children.
These elite New Normal approve and support them with government grants.
I would love to see these bikers get more politically active and even run for office. I LMFAO on the PETA activist duct taped to the tree.
Those bikers have the best sense of humour, such pranksters
Fake, but accurate. :’) Thanks Daffynition.
LOL! Isn’t that Ben Stiller?
