noun, plural quid·di·ties. 1. the quality that makes a thing what it is; the essential nature of a thing. 2. a trifling nicety of subtle distinction, as in argument.
Etymology:1539, "captious nicety in argument" from M.L. quidditas, lit. "whatness," from L. quid "what," neut. of quis (see who). Sense developed from scholastic disputes over the nature of things. Original meaning "real essence or nature of a thing" is attested in Eng. from 1569.

I’ve never treated my windows. I didn’t even know they were sick!
older homes, like my parents, you can throw up a pair of drapes and throw them out and replace them when they get dirty. newer housing has the more dramatic windows and unless you want to be on display to the entire street, you have to pay to have someone come in and cover them with draperies. My SIL is going to facing this situation when they move into their new house in Houston. They have lived in an old house in Ohio for years. They bought new construction and you can’t get that really, without the more dramatic window styles. Lucky for her, her mother worked in a drapery shop for years and does that kind of sewing. so she will likely do them for my SIL and bro’s new house.
So, a big box of Hefty bags for a house warming present.

I still hear the Dems whining and screaming that Republicans are looking to kill off the elderly by destroying medicare entirely. Please, the fact is we have parents and grandparents too, and we realize that it’s become a necessity for them, despite the quiddity that the program itself is so overextended that it will fail entirely within a dozen years. Refusing to look at it and take any steps of any sort will only ensure it’s demise.
i don’t get women swooning over him bc if he’s NOT gay, he’s the most asexual being on the planet. any pic of him has him attempting to jam his mitts into his pants pockets which are invariably tiny. the sieves obsess over that fact.
