I have recently discovered a woman named Ann Barhardt. I have watched her "The Economy is Going To Implode" YouTube series and have read here religious/societal/political commentaries.
My problem?.... I can't figure this woman out.
Either she's the most "free" person I know, speaking truth that has been blocked/subvereted for many, many years in America ...
... or she is just certifiably nuts .....
Any comments on this thread are welcome.
Disclaimer: I am a father or two, a husband, now living in the Midwest, raised in the NYC/CT area. I am a committed, conservative Catholic, trying to live for Him and clean out my church of any leftover garbage. My political leanings are traditional and mostly conservative, however, I have a very strong libertarian streak in me ... as do most liberty loving Americans.
Ann Barnhardt is speaking truthfully.
I love her because she is utterly fearless. She speaks what is on her mind, and what is probably on most people’s minds. the American mind has been turned off, repressed, slowly over time taught to “learn it’s place.” And she is trying to jump start it. My two cents....
Ann is NOT nuts. A bit looney, but a very clear thinker. An in-your-face, fearless woman who loves God, our nation, and the truth. She posts her address with a pic of her condo, a pic of her in pink tights with her AR-15, and says to Muzzies & Marxists, “Come and get me..”
She knows financial stuff profoundly, and is generally right on.
I’ve been a fan of hers for years.
Read her stuff daily and you’ll see where she’s at. Of course, she’s off on some points - but who isn’t?
Brilliant, outspoken - and fearless. I know of few men as fearless as she is. She’ll never marry - she says because she’s not pretty. No, it’s because she has more testosterone than almost any man alive......
She also boasts of her virginity, and gets a bit profane at time which is offsetting. But usually her profanity is almost appropriate when she’s making a point.
A staunch Catholic (I am not), she apparently sees no conflict with her Christian testimony and her profanity. I just look past it, sometimes laugh......she’s kind of like a female Patton......

The profanity is a huge turnoff. So I turned it off.
Anne is reasonably accurate.
However, it is not about Catholicism, it is about our Father and His Kingdom. We are required to love Him w/ all our might and strength; everything in us! He is adamant that we reject every tradition and commandment of man, which be contrary to His word.
Usually stories of a stock market melt down are written by people selling silver or gold, and I always try to take that into consideration. I spent about a week searching out articles that aggressively attacked Ann. Lots of people call her a lunatic and attack her personally.
But I noticed those articles don't present any actual reasons why they think she is wrong. I even wrote to Gary North about his article on Ann and instead of giving me a single small example of why he thinks Ann is incorrect, he told me to get lost and ended his email with "I don't care what you think." Also, Ann's opposition always end by saying really annoying b.s. like, "We will continue to see a healthy climb out of this period of recession bolstered by the flattening of global markets and an injection of billions of new dollars." HUH???
I would love to hear someone step up and claim to be a voice of reason. I would love for someone to show how Ann is over exaggerating our situation. Unfortunately I think she's telling the ugly unfiltered truth.
Her series of utube videos on Muslim Sexuality are a must see to understand the root culture of Islam.
Her teachings on Catholicism are misguided, because Catholicism is misguided. Her understanding of the financial world is parexcelant.
She could use a good husband to bring a bit of balance, but she is who she is, a Joan of Arc of America.
I have a lot of respect for her.
I won’t speak for anyone else, but I like her. I especially loved her video where she reads evil passages from the Koran, bookmarks with bacon strips, and then tears pages out and burns them.
Before it's over, many more will think like her. At least when it comes to the proper role of government and on finance.
She is either manic with paranoid tendencies, or she is one of the brightest, most perceptive and courageous Americans in our generation. I hope its the former, but I fear its the latter.
She is one of those who are extremely smart but then delve in to the absurd at times- such as her call for a tax protest ensuring that anyone who follows her advice will just get in worse financial and legal trouble.

Seriously? You think objecting to comparing a blogger who makes You Tube videos to a saint who heard from God, faced down the entire English army, and was burned at the stake needs explanation.
Why not just call her a modern day Jesus or Moses?

Ann pledged not to pay her federal income taxes on some constitutional grounds.
In her October 27, 2012 blog post, she said the IRS claims she owes in the six figures. She also posted a Wells Fargo bank statement showing that the IRS levied the entire account.
She claims the IRS will be coming after business accounts, car, and house.
If anyone knows more about her tax situation, I'd appreciate the information.

I beg to differ. Her only problem in the looks department is her hairdo. OMG. BALD, would be a better look. With almost ANY other hairdo she would be attractive.
Send her over to Fox News and let their hair & makeup people do their magic (without input from her).
She looks like “the girl next door”, but she’s not afraid to speak her mind. So far, I haven’t been able to find fault with anything she’s said. Besides, I might have more respect for the phonies in Washington DC if they would be more like her and call a jack-ass a jack-ass instead of “my good friend”, and anyone who can tell Lindsey Gramnesty to shove it up his @ss has her head on straight.
Suspect that she does hear from God, She is facing down the American Nazi party and at the rate she is going I and she suspect she will end up a martyr.
So as analogys go, you prove the point.
While Joan of Arc is light years above, both in effect and saint qualities, these are dark days, with men of low morals. She fits her times like many unsung heros.
Joan of Arc is not in the same class as Moses, we are talking patriarch vs taxi cab driver here, why go on?
We should have a problem with any of this cult of personality type reaction for anyone on our side. We put people on too high of a pedestal where they are looked at higher than our values. It also sets us up for disappointment as people are flawed and we then end up judging the values based on the failures of individuals versus letting values stand on their own. Cult of personality is how the left operates.
I heard she has accepted the Catholic faith, not raised in it. Does anyone know what her faith tradition was before she followed Catholicism?
If she would lose the profanity she would be more effective.
Having said that, at least she has some fire in her belly. That’s a lot more than you can say for most in this age of lukewarmness.
I couldn't agree more and I will concede that I may be jumping the gun in my comparison. But the fact remains that there are certain similarities, with Ann and with the times ahead.
While Ann does use some profanity, it’s mainly for effect. While a good, hearty, “Bullsh!t” interjected in any sentence dealing with economic platitudes is generally proper, I don’t recall her ever using the Lord’s name in vain. While one may be impolite in some circles, the other is a sin mentioned in the Ten Commandments.

Her economic video series is a must see if you want the unvarnished truth.

Perhaps Ann wants martyrdom, and wants it to be for a good cause— like resistance to tyranny, Marxism, communism, racism, overall collapse, and for saving the country and for religious liberty. We all have dreams to stand for God and country to the death.
Ann seems supernaturally courageous, or certifiably insane.

She scares the hell out of me because she is right most of the time. I fear for her life but she is as tough as they get. Wish more were like her.

Her explanation of (basically) the ‘Debt to Asset’ ratio of the banks was staggering and sobering ... we would ALL be bankrupt (and maybe in prison) if we had the numbers (50X, 80X, 575X !!!) like these ...
Like all prophets, Ann may seem extreme at times.
I can’t always agree with her, but I always consider the things she says.
sometimes she uses profanity for effect, but other times it’s borderline taking the Lord’s name in vain. Just count how many “My God,” statements she tosses in. Interesting message. Unfortunately she thinks she’s the only one in the trenches fighting this fight. In actuality, she’s the only one doing it the way she’s doing it.
She hasn't been heard from in six days. No blog posts, no tweets. Very unlike her, especially considering recent news developments.
I am worried too...
