I hope to see Zero Dark Thirty in the next couple of weeks.
Sounds like another ‘girl power’ movie to me.. I’m surprised it wasn’t produced by Disney; Boys and men aren’t relevant in ANY of their movies (Tinker Bell, Tangled, Brave, blah blah blah).
Hmmm. I’ll see it, but I doubt that it will be when it’s in theaters.
I will say that Act of Valor is quite possibly the best movie that I have ever seen.
It means something.
It’s about men and principles that still exist, but where the actually come from I am not sure.
....yeah, we got Bin Laden, great, whatever..
...but the House of Saud, which funded him and his deeds, is still laughing their asses off at us..
..it ain’t over till the day we nuke those bastards from stem to stern..
'Respected' by whom? I have never heard of him. He strikes me as the sort of fellow who squats to urinate ... and prefers it that way.
Looking foward to this one. “Facistic”. Heh. One might think it fascistic if one ignores that it is a recounting of a bareknuckle fight against fascism.
As for the “girl-power” thing, my understanding is that it is accurate. The intelligence lead on the hunt for OBL was a woman. Facts are not an agenda.
I saw the National Geographic Channel movie about the Seal raid on the OBL compound. Eh. It was fair. This looks to be a good deal better. I liked The Hurt Locker.

Pass. I won’t be enriching on purpose Obama suporters.
I can spend $15 on something else.
I refuse to ever watch the liberal crap. Just another spike of the ball by obama with a little “o”.
I saw it and it was straight to VD quality in it’s writing, background, direction and acting.
Wasn’t a great movie, wasn’t all that bad either....
I guess, that means he's a guy who likes to talk (and talk and talk) about movies and doesn't make too much of an *ss of himself.
Interesting that the left seems to be uncomfortable with the politics of the film, but can't deny either the necessity of the actions depicted, or the power of the film.
Sounds like Munich, though there are differences.
Contrast with the author's review of V for Vendetta, which features heroes blowing up and murdering villains who are simulacra of the Bush administration. The review is full of words like "gladdening" and "riotously enjoyable ".
Does the flick include the part where the Obama admin leaves the Pakistani doctor who helped in the locating of OBL to rot in a Pakistani jail?
