Should a conservative Congress oust Boehner over fiscal cliff talks?
The Washington Times ^ | December 10 | Henry D'Andrea

Speaker John Boehner's unwillingness to hold the line against President Obama's hypocritical approach to the fiscal cliff negotiations show it might be time for conservatives to take the speaker gavel away.

While there has been no real movement towards a fiscal cliff deal, Speaker Boehner did move to evict key conservatives from top budget committees for their dissent to his budget proposal.

After Reps. Justin Amash, Tim Huelskamp, David Schweikert, and Walter Jones were removed from their budget committees, conservatives lambasted Boehner and felt as though he was shutting them out of the fiscal cliff negotiations.

Those 31 members on the House Steering Committee that removed these conservative congressmen have yet to speak publicly about the ordeal, showing that Boehner doesn’t want the conservative voice anywhere near the potential fiscal cliff deal.

“Should a conservative Congress”

Dream on! Like we have one of those.

Should say:

Should a Congress made up largely of Rinos and weasels kick out their cry baby brother?

As we type, the GOP is bleeding supporters. The longer Boehner grovels, the longer the bleeding will continue. Whether they like it or not, without a Conservative fire breather, they can kiss it all good-bye.

What about the K Street crowd? I'd imagine they love old Weepy, since he keeps the bacon flowing.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but my short list has Darrel Issa up at the top.

The question of Boener’s removal should be answered by the fact that I think more Dems will vote for his retention than Reps. L-O freakin L

Just because of the “fiscal cliff” negotiations? NO! That and about a hundred other good and sufficient reasons!

Exactly my first thoughts. No wonder they took the word “lunatic” out of their dictionary. Best word to describe about 90% of them - you would think we have no other pressing problems.

“Should a conservative Congress oust Boehner over fiscal cliff talks?”

Not only SHOULD a conservative Congress oust Boehner, a conservative Congress WOULD oust him.

However, the current Congress, while a lot of things, is assuredly not conservative.

“Should a conservative Congress oust Boehner over fiscal cliff talks? “

No.

He should be outsted based on his performance over the last two years: capitulation after capitulation

" the fiscal cliff negotiations"

The should consist of six words on Bonehead's side - "Let's talk about THE DEBT LIMIT."

Should a conservative Congress oust Boehner over fiscal cliff talks?

If the congress was conservative, then the answer would be, "NO!" They should oust him for not being conservative.

I’d say Issa has enough clout to challenge Boehner. He’s very well known after the F&F hearings and has been there since 2001.

Last week I emailed my congressman and asked him to vote against Boehner for Speaker of the House, and told him I expected him to vote for a conservative.
