extremely wicked or villainous; iniquitous

[1595–1605; < Latin nefārius wicked, vile, equivalent to nefās offense against divine or moral law ( ne- negative prefix + fās law, right) + -ius -ious, with intervocalic s > r]

Good morning. I hope that there is nothing nefarious going on at St. Mary’s hospital. My husband is undergoing gall bladder surgery there at this very moment. I also have a DIL undergoing induced labor in Aiken, SC for her 5th child and my 12th grandchild. I’m just sitting by the phone worrying about both patients. My thoughts are exclusively on hospitals.

Anybody who wishes to toss out a prayer, or three, for my loved ones this AM will be sincerely appreciated.

I had mine out too, but it was a big deal. (at least to me) He’s been in the hospital since early Sun. morning on an antibiotic drip. I had mine done as an outpatient but suffered complications later. He has complicating heart problems, so surgery is always worrisome.
