Been there,done that. Former Minnesotan now living in the South. My cousin back home tells me they received 15 inches of snow this past week.

I was stationed at Loring AFB, Me., back in the 60’s, and the day I left - early September - snow flurries were falling.

I cannot find it right now, but there is a video of a heavy truck (maybe garbage) getting caught by ice and gravity. It starts a long slide down a hill and, IIRC, wipes out several cars along the way. You can just imagine the feelings of all concerned, the hapless driver, the owners of the cars and the insurance and tort lawyers who came after.
However this one of a slope bottom that ends up 'eating about 8 cars is pretty good proof of how sometimes you are just a passenger.
