If he was a rescuer, this is tragic. If he was raising them to sell for fighting, this is justice.
Was it the owner of the pitbulls that was mauled to death??? The story is unclear.
The owner of the animals did sign all the animals over to Animal Control Services, where they will not be returned to the owner.

On the contrary, it’s a good thing this man didn’t have a gun. Because bringing a gun to a violent situation only makes things worse. (Well, this *is* California, after all.)
These things are a cocked and loaded handgun. If my neighbor brought one home, I would make it my business to see it destroyed.
Disagree. A cocked and loaded gun won't fire unless you pull the trigger. A pit bull can attack for any reason or no reason at all, and then you'd better have YOUR loaded gun handy if you don't want to be seriously injured.

My point is, they pull their own trigger without provocation or reason.
