Turned on MSNBC for awhile and Andrea Mitchell talked for some time about gun control. She even had someone from the Brady Campaign on very quick. So quick one must think that they are ready to take advantage of these types of shootings.
I cannot verbalize my contempt for that channel.
First friend just went on their idiotic rant on Facebook. Of course, our side has more class than to jump into this debate in the middle of a tragedy.
Do these people not think it odd that ALL these shootings happen in ‘gun free’ zones?
I was channel surfing and the first time I saw anything, I stopped and like everyone else was saddened. One of the first things the news reader said was they had contacted the White House and they told them this was not the time to talk about gun control.
I was astounded. Obama actually had more class than they did.
It seems to me that whenever a building explodes somewhere in the US, as the newspeople hop in their cars to get to the scene, the first thing they say is, “We don’t know much yet, but we can say that this is not terrorism-related.”
Expect a full court press on this one...irrespective of the circumstances and altogether apart from the facts!

May the unrepentant 2nd Amendment traitors, especially the leftstream media anti-gun advocates and legislators who took away the right of school administrators and teachers to defend their students, burn twice as long in hell as the piece of excrement that committed these murders.

Bingo! The best defense would be armed citizens/teachers who could fight back.
I would ask the left (or anyone) to show me one instance where having unarmed people helped the situation when a shooting took place.

Yep, it's all feeeeeelings with them. I just had a friend tell me that 99% of shootings are committed by licensed gun owners, with is patently untrue. I provided irrefutable evidence to the contrary.....not surprisingly, to on avail. They choose to believe otherwise.

Earlier this week, I was over in DU and there was a thread about that Fox News Correspondent who had gotten beat up by union thugs in Michigan. At least 80 percent of the comments in the thread were along the lines of “he deserved it” and “it’s about time we fought back.”
In short, the DUers are saying violence is justified in their cause. This is one of the many reasons I will never support gun control. What if people like the DUers got to run the country they way wanted to? History has shown a determined group representing a minority of the population can rise to power sometimes.

It is as if they are suicidal but just can't pull the trigger on themselves until they take what they consider to be vengeance on everyone else for being alive and perceived happy.

Too bad the schools don’t hire armed retired cops as security guards. Of course they have to be politicall correct, otherwise an armed teacher might have avoided sucha a catastrophe.
Anybody knwo if the PD was on the scene while the shooting was going on? How did the killer die?
The gun control mantra will be deafening due to this. And, I’m going to predict we will see some new federal (as well state) gun laws because of this. They will be ineffecctive feel-good laws based on emotions of the day.
I’ve given this a lot of serious thought and I just can’t think of any rational laws, new or in place, that could stop the mentally deranged from these acts.
I would like to know if these guns were stolen like the recent mall shooting out west.
I have a bad feeling this is going to be the event that motivates American voters to talk about serious gun control in this country. Now might be a really good time to make some purchases if you haven’t already.

You spoke too soon. obama just had a made a public statement and hinted about doing "something" about all the shootings that have been happening.
I stand by my previous prediction here on FR:
Having successfully implemented universal health care, something that no other progressive (read: communist) president had been able to accomplish, Obama is feeling invincible (and rightly so).
Next on his legacy wish list is gun control. He won't aim for any penny-ante assault weapons ban, either. He will aim much higher. Look for an all-out attack on the second amendment.
Each state has an enormous amount of power over the possession and use of firearms and other weapons; the 2nd Amendment left that power to the states.
A state can require that all weapons that the state classifies as suitable for military use, be stored in state armories that are typically scattered across a state, county by county.
It won’t surprise, to see some states now pass legislation requiring such storage.
One plus side of that, is that the armories become the honeypot for the Crown’s (currently the leftist dictatorship in waiting of Obama’s) ambitions; and as a honeypot, should the nationalizing forces of the left, move against the armories, then the people will know that the established threshold has been crossed.
As it was first in 1774 during the Powder Alarm.
So, you get to keep a “personal sidearm” and your hunting rifle and shotgun, but the rest of your “toys” are stored at the armory.
The NRA would probably campaign to have some part in that development.
This is just a possibility; but I have been expecting it for some time - I suspect it is more a probability now.
In addition to, some legislatures requiring a return to militia assembly and training, in order to re-establish what was once relatively common practice.
Gun control? How about public school control, instead. When was the last time we read about a mass school slaying in a private or home school setting, where they don’t herd children together and treat them as glorified apes?

How would the public know that, if the media doesn’t report it. Many Americans are sheep following the liberal media’s bias agenda to get firearms banned.
Murder is illegal. Carrying a firearm in that school area was illegal. Discharging a firearm there is illegal. Does anyone really think that another law or ban is going to help?
Does anyone ever wonder if these may be muslim extremists/converts trying to fight their jihad on american soil and the media not wanting to upset the public with a possible terrorist attack story? After all Mr. Obama says that things are getting better with our muslim “friends” in the middle east, right?

On the other, I want all the guns rights advocates, Wayne LaPierre and his NRA crazies, and all the politicians who take blood money from the NRA and block gun control legislation and more money for mental health programs to look at this photo. This is YOUR doing. This is the reality of your sick, evil gun promoting culture...
