We all know what happened today.
We all have felt an immense sense of sorrow for those victims in Connecticut.

And, we know what's coming.

I'm posting this thread for us to gather our resources.
Before doing so becomes illegal.

Keep your powder dry, my FRiends.

When I’m sitting around the house in my pj’s my weapon is on the table within easy reach. No concealment required.

Heh! I have a digital safe under and to the side of my desk. Three buttons pushed, and my XDm is in my hand in two seconds.
But I have to go to the bathroom every now and then...

I don’t have a CCW. I’m gonna get one here in Conn before they take it away.

I love my XD. A great little pistol that corrects the inherent shortcomings of the Glock.

It won’t be a 10 round ban.

I will be a complete ban on handguns and rifles. Maybe shotguns also.

I left the state. I moved. Bugged out. I managed to make my work remote (Home office) and left to the west of the Hudson river.

I am imploring all that I know - family, friends. Please leave.

Connecticut is not the state I grew up in. It’s not serene, beautiful nor is it safe for us. The cities have already overflowed their boundaries, and spread like wildfire.

That state is just plain dangerous. And without the law recognising my right to defend myself and those in danger of harm or deadly force - I can’t be there anymore. An environment has been created where there is no good news.

When I return to CT (I rent a room in Newtown) I am just a 10 minute walk to the Elementary school. Newtown CT is a gorgeous, safe town full of good people. It is quintessential New England. I am from this area, have roots here and know (What feels like) most of the town.

Knowing that, please understand my warning to be as serious as I can state: The local CT government is “coming”. At the helm of this at-one-time beautiful state are very angry, very spiteful liberals who are power hungry in ways that we can only try to comprehend. I work for a powerful lobby in CT, and I see the inner operations of the state from the perspective of an infiltrator.

What I saw made me pack up my family and leave. I couldn’t sell my house in time, so I shortsaled and walked away. I ran from this state because things are about to get very bad.

I’m not just dropping words on the internet, being an arm-chair critic or spewing warnings. I lost tens of thousands of dollars in possessions, equipment and business contacts to leave that state. And in doing so, I am building a homestead in the country in an attempt to protect my family from what is about to happen.

God bless us all.

I don't have a CCW but don't fuc@ with me. When government violates my rights as guaranteed by the Constitution I longer obey government. Never liked Hitler types anyway.

No buyback, no compensation, no grandfather, no sunset. Instant felon if you’re found with an eleven-round “massacre magazine.”

There shall be no Ex post facto laws!

If the govt deems abortion to be illegal on 1/1/13, they cannot prosecute doctors who performed abortions on 12/31/12. This is the law.

>A bill will be proposed.<

.
And don’t expect our spineless congresscritters to object because they know that, should the nation be disarmed, the law will not apply to them.

Their bodyguards will remain armed in order to defend their precious lives.

You are making a very dangerous assumption.

That the men with power care about the law. They don’t. They never have.

Wow. I moved back here to help my parents as they got older and their health started failing. They have passed on to greater glory, but considering all my family is out west, I think I might have to follow your advice and get out.

My parent’s property is so very special though. A house they had built, good acreage, with one neighbor and a huge state forest across the street and next to them. Bucolic is an apt description.

Amen to that, but sadly common sense seems to be uncommon.

This bill will pass like lightning, we may be shocked how fast.

I agree with that for one reason in particular. That is how 0bamugabe works. He demagogues and he is good at getting results with it. I submit the 'fiscal cliff' situation as the most recent example. 'My way or the highway' is how it will be and he will demonize any Republican who resists. The 'fiscal cliff' and gun control are only going to be the beginning of what this lame duck tin horn dictator is going to do too IMO.

As fellow Coloradans you both probably know that Gov. Chickenpooper announced yesterday that he plans on pursuing some kind of ‘assault weapons ban’ here. Now he has additional fuel for that. My own resources are scant so I have not joined GOA for CO but I think I’m going to have to scrape up whatever it takes to back them. If you know of a better, or simply additional, org for CO firearms rights let me know.

The liberal tendency is to act in a knee-jerk manner to all unfortunate incidents. Yes, you are correct: we all know what direction the conversation regarding this unfortunate tragedy is going to stray. We must be diligent to keep the conversation on point and not sink to the level of liberals acting on emotion. Thanks for your post, my FRiend. Be safe, be intelligent, and be prepared to defend yourself and your family.

Too many contributing factors to fix. Rap, celebrity sluts, Godlessness, liberals and ACLU's 'children's rights' approach to education.. We're over the top and flew the coop long ago. Disciplining children is at the top of the list and if not enforced from day one, it's counter-productive. Females living the man's role.. Emasculation of boys resulting in confusion and frustration.. Sandra Fluke is a girl's role model? Thanks, DEMOCRATS! We stuck our collective fingers in God's eye long ago. Thanks to '60's feminists for the 'latch key kid' nightmare we're now paying for.

Bring back the ruler smack on the knuckles of school children.. Bring back the dunce cap.. Force them to say 'excuse me' when they walk by the teacher or make them stay after class, etc, etc. Teach children ethics, humility, honor, respect, honesty, patriotism, etc.. Bring back the father in the home with a wife that doesn't put her JOB above that of her children. CONTROL what your children are doing. Too many children CONTROL their parents! So many more things are wrong!

The problem with fixating on guns is not just the damage it does to individual liberty (although that certainly is bad enough!) but that it misses the big picture. Something is seriously wrong with our society. This guy crossed social taboos that even most criminals respect.

Then too, I can’t help but wonder. I know this will qualify me for a tinfoil hat (fyi, my hat size is seven and a half) but it seems as if these incidents always spike right when the Dems want to have a gun control push. I’m not saying I know anything. I just wonder.

I think so. 20 heart-breaking tiny tot coffins will equal 2,000 football fans at a stadium massacre.

The White House-Hollywood-MSM alliance is about to go into high gear.

Maybe it will happen as in California.

They wrote the act, then sat back.

They then released (the 7th time)known nut Pat Purdy.

He buys a rifle in Oregon.

Then a handgun in California, even passing the Cali waiting period.

Then he shot up the Stockton School yard, and shot himself.

The act, already written, is brought out and voted on and passes, before the facts came in. And Californians lost their right to own certain rifles.
