The author is perfectly welcome to make any such proposal. It is, of course, the Second Amendment that has protected his right to do so, but irony aside, we have a procedure for that sort of thing. He may persuade his Congressional representatives to propose a Constitutional amendment nullifying the Second, and if it receives the required 2/3 majority in each house, it will be put to the states for ratification, and if 3/4 of those (38 of 50) ratify it, it's law.

If any part of that fails, he is free to pucker up and plant 'em on my wrinkled, gun-owning butt.

It’s time to face the facts

The facts are what you are avoided facing. The reason I say this is because of your liberal insistence on blaming everyone who DID NOT DO IT.

This guy can Go Foxtrot Himself. There is no discussion. There is no compromise on this issue. I will not give up my rights. That's not a threat. That's not a boast. That's just the way it's going to be.

From their cold dead hands.

Dear @freerepublictxt - If you’re going to criticize me, have the courage to do it on the blog. freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2…9 minutes ago

Dear jerkoff - I have more important things to do with my time. Speaking of which, tomorrow I'll be calling my governor to tell him to sign the new bill lifting some criminal empowerment zones. I'll be calling my reps as well to tell them to tell you to go Foxtrot yourself.

Ah, the godless arrogance of those who think they can revoke the first law of nature.

"Among the natural rights of the Colonists are these: First, a right to life; Secondly, to liberty; Thirdly, to property; together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can. These are evident branches of, rather than deductions from, the duty of self-preservation, commonly called the first law of nature."

-- Samuel Adams, The Rights of the Colonists

Yes, we need to wall off Mexico so we can’t ship any more guns there.

That’s what inalienable means. This right was first spelled out in the Magna Carta.
