All freedom loving patriots and support need muster in Sandyhook Conn as the Westboro nutjobs plan to protest at the first of the funerals for the the young victim that were killed on Friday.
We freedom lovers and defenders can't allow these wackos to hijack a true tragic moment and enough damage has been done to these young victims, who did not have a chance to defend themselves against a heartless coward, sorry I can been there myself to due to distance and health issues, but my fingers and mouth still work, so I'm getting the word out thru Freerepublic.
Twitte from the scumbags.......https://twitter.com/DearShirley/status/279953994124783618
Oh, Good God, you can’t be serious.
One of these days, those mental cases are going to cross the path of the wrong person.
They sent out this twitte saying they would be there, wish I could come and go old school WW2 Navy Style with a billyclub!
Not seeing anything on their site-—yet.

Keep an eye on them.
Whatever, best to ignore.
This will pass.
I totally agree.
This is why I still think the Supreme Court was just as wrong on the Westboro case as they were on Kelo and Obamacare. There is no way that the Framers thought the right of free speech included the right to torture a family on the day they bury a small child.
Whenever liberal policies fail they are convinced it is because they didn’t go far enough. Hence, if they pour gas on a fire expecting the results of water, they fanatically think it was to small a quantity to be effective.
Sorry I can ignore group that wants to victimize dead children a second time, time for these nutballs to meet a proper response.
If I ever found out I was terminally ill, and decided to leave the world a better place before I left...I’d better stop there.
Really?
Since when has it been a good idea to ignore evil?
Whatever?
We are talking about these demonic thugs protesting children’s funerals.
Of course, these same nutballs have already had the Supreme Court UPHOLD their RIGHT of freedom of speech when they were doing this at the services for our military killed in action.
It is always a sign that your civilization is on a rocket ship to hell when the Supreme Court of the land can find:
A right of privacy exists for a parent to destroy a child.
But no right of privacy exists for a parent to bury a child (even when said child has died in the service of our country).
Not even the Mad Hatter would attempt to explain this!
A “Counter-Demonstration” is what the Socialist Left does.
The MSM will try to link Conservatives to the Westboro crew no matter what we say - or don't say.
It is sad. They are trying to make a point about abortion and get a lot of attention, but they need to remind themselves of the Biblical passages that exhort Christians to comport themselves well at all times.
Bothering people in mourning is not good conduct according to a Biblical standard.
There are many other dramatic things that Christians could erroneously do to attract attention that would be in poor taste: doing antics in poor taste is never the thing to do.
If one wants to do something dramatic that does reflect well on the faith, as in, something that shows dignity and respect, but firm resolution, that’s a good direction in which to place one’s efforts.
In fact, what should happen... a very small group of very conservative Reformed Christian leaders should speak to these folks privately and offer their counsel to them on correcting their mistakes.
What would really also help is for a lot of congregations across the country to mention these people in their services and pray that the Holy Spirit will move these people to see the error of their ways and repent. Perfect time to also pray regarding the stopping of the practice of abortion. Perhaps the foxsnews would run a story on that if it caught on.
IMHO.
“I live about 20 minutes away.”
What town? I’m in Waterbury.
They're not Christians and they're not trying to make a point about abortion. The cowards of Westboro Baptist are Democratic lawyers and operatives. Founder Fred Phelps even ran for office -- as a DEMOCRAT. They are all big fans of Al Gore too.
Look it up.
IMHO, law enforcement needs to do what it does. It is the legitimate role of government to “restrain evil” and enforce the applicable laws. Obviously they’ll look at what the local laws allow and do what they have to.
I would not want to go there as a private citizen or part of another group and get involved in countering them, i.e., a counter protest.
IMHO, that’s just another group that does not belong at the funerals and I’d be part of the problem.
It is very sad that they choose to use that method to oppose abortion; they are having the opposite effect they want to have, using the unsriptural tactics that they are. Even if the message is Scriptural, the tactics have to be Scriptural as well.
They are actually opposing abortion, trying to “wake up” America. It’s the right cause, but a terrible way to deliver the message. I’m sure since the guy had that “flash of genius” (sarc) his pride is preventing him from admitting that his idea was unscriptural. I would not use the words demonic or evil, because, IMHO, I don’t know the details of their statement of faith, etc. It may be that they’re just making that big whopper of a mistake or they may have other wrong doctrine, I don’t know, so I can’t be sure of how far off track they are.
I’m sure law enforcement will keep them at a decent distance, I hope it’s far enough to mitigate their effects.
IMHO.
Ahhh, I didn’t know. Given what they do, I always assumed they were significantly “off” in their Christian doctrine. If I don’t see doctrine that’s at least “close” to true, they really just get lumped in with unbelievers in my mind, i.e., can’t rely on them. Like a fringe group. Many fringe groups out there.
So if this is all true, this needs to start becoming more common knowledge.
Thanks for the heads up, I’ve made a note.
And the trains were simply transporting employees to their new job location.
Westboro is an evil organization, backed by evil doers, supported by evil people.
And you're absolutely right: this does need to become common knowledge. At every opportunity, I try to spread the truth about this nefarious Democratic group. We all should.
People like that is why we invented the truncheon. How long will we let it stand?
Kevin, I don’t see a day or time on this twitter. Would you please let us know if you find anything else regarding their plans.
I live close to Newtown and would gather more patriots to stand in their way.
Looks like Westboro people made some tweets then some writer wrote this:
http://www.examiner.com/article/westboro-church-tweets-about-connecticut-shootings-fag-marriage-is-to-blame
about the tweets - wondering IF they would picket...
Then it appears that the Westboro twits tweeted they should.
Need to keep an eye on this
I’m close too.
Ok, you can depend on the government to all that’s right and holy.
Maybe instead of a gathering of citizens who will protect the families from these demonic lunatics, we can sit around the camp fire, hold hand and sing kumbaya and wait for the government to deal with the issue.
Wax thier a##es good
I am not advocating violence. But if anyone ever deserved violence against them, it is this people.
5 and 6 year olds are slaughtered yet these scumbags still walk the earth. God must have a plan but I have no idea of it from what I see.
Now what are these wackos protesting?

They might have thought that a person had a right to do it, but didn't have the right to expect to come away unscathed...there was a time when society would not have tolerated such activities, now it fosters them.
Westburros don’t care if they are p*ssing off conservatives or liberals. They just want to stir up sh*t for the glory of what they claim to be God.
Sigh.
They are there with the ostensible purpose of taunting America for tragedies they claim were brought on by the anger of God at the practice of homosexuality in the USA.
That’s what they claim. But if there is a “gay pride” rally anywhere, the Burros will be a thousand miles away from it; they never try to do anything helpful about the issue they are purporting to make such a showy stink over. They sound a lot like Satan, come to think of it.
Did the Burros switch to abortion as their issue? For the longest time it had been homosexuality.
You may be right. In a day where people would sometimes be tarred and feathered by their fellow citizens, it makes sense. That said, we can be certain that the Framers had a narrower vision of what constitutes free speech than our current society does. The changes in how the law handles pornography is enough to make that case.
Phelps and his and of swine will face justice, and it will go badly for them. I wouldn’t want to have to explain to Jesus why I thought I was serving him by insulting these families, and they WILL have to do that.
Well said.
It’s a FUNERAL! For God’s sake, no signs, no bullhorns, no flag waving. If you want to go, put on your Sunday best and recognize that a funeral is taking place. If the westboro dicks show up, form up a perimeter of dark suits and quietly ask them to leave, and hold the line, but please be mindful the solemnity of the occasion.
Newtown is a pretty conservative enclave of Blue State Connecticut. To say the Westboro nutjobs will not be welcomed here could be an understatement.
I'm thinking I wouldn't want to be one of the Westboro Baptist protesters and have to explain this one to Christ.
No hope for the Supreme Court. They have pictures. Same for Boehner.
These people are truly from the pit of Hell :-(
I’m on the wrong coast, otherwise I would defend the children’s families alongside all of you. My heart and my prayers are with them and all of you. God protect all of us from evil.
Contact these folks: Patriot Guard Riders"
I'll do the same.
They were founded to combat the Westboro scum at funerals and memorials for our returning deceased from our recent wars. Since then, they have branched out to give honors at funerals/memorials for all dead active Service and Veterans. I'm a member.
The PRG line up their bikes against the Westboro as*wipes and gun their pipes loud to drown out their awful chants. If too close to the funeral, they just walk around the scum giving them the evil eye, daring one of them to strike first. Since being cowards and lawsuit happy they never do and most times the sh*theads give up and leave.
Unfortunately, since they are mid-west based, I've never had the pleasure of facing down those pr*cks. Have been to some memorials locally.
"The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for Americas freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.
We dont care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether youre a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where youre from or what your income is; you dont even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.
Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:
1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
2. Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.
To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all."
I would think the PGR would be willing to extend their Mission to counter any Westboro disruption as the families of Newtown put their children to bed for the last time.
Plus Kevin (correct name?), contact the local American Legion, VFW, Kiwanis, Elks, and other such patriotic organizations in your area. I'm counting on you to run point of this. Thank you for the article and wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas.
Got a post on Facebook that the Biker Community will be waiting for them. I keep telling people not to give them the attention they crave so that they can file frivolous lawsuits against the towns they invades.
"The recent, tragic shootings in Connecticut weigh heavy on us all. The Patriot Guard understands the anguish caused by such a calamity as this and our hearts go out to the family and friends of those affected by this horrific event.
We (PGR) receive hundreds of emails a day requesting the PGR to stand in honor at the planned services. However, the PGR is not a counter protest group. Our mission statement is clear and regrettably the circumstances surrounding this tragic event do not fall within our mission statement. For more details on our missions statement, please go to www.PatriotGuard.org and review the information located in the About Us section in the Site Navigation section.
Again, our hearts go out to all of the families of the affected families, and to the community as a whole, for this tremendous loss. Patriot Guard Riders, Inc."
Kevin, we must respect the PGR for their strict guidelines regarding military only. However, there are still the other organizations I mentioned above. Build on your lead, son.
It’s funny...my mind was thinking the same exact thing just before I scrolled to your comment. And I agree.
