Murdoch calls for automatic weapons ban

News Corp. chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch expressed support for an automatic weapons ban tonight following today's shooting in Newtown, Conn.

"Terrible news today. When will politicians find courage to ban automatic weapons?," Murdoch wrote on Twitter.

Murdoch made a similar call following the theater shooting in Aurora, Colo., in July: "We have to do something about gun controls. Police license okay for hunting rifle or pistol for anyone without crim or pscho record. No more," he tweeted.

News Corp. owns Fox News, where contributors have been objecting to calls for gun control throughout the day.

I’m more confused now. All along, they’ve said the Bushmaster rifle was found in the trunk of his mother’s car, and handguns were by his body. Just now on the radio, they announced that all of the victims were killed by a rifle. Did the narrative just change to fit their gun-ban

Usually, they prefer that the person volunteer, but when volunteering, they easily un-volunteer and walk right out.

One way the Gubmit will try to axe 2nd Amendment will be by using “mental competency” for denying right to own. Sounds like common sense, except we then have to consider who or what government agency will be deciding who to too nutty as its a sure bet the liberals will want it applied 100%.

You can get a license for an automatic weapon, but I’m not familiar with the process. The shooting range I use will allow folks with legal full-autos to use the range by appointment and under supervision.
