vanity - What if Adam Lanza did not want to die?

Posted on 12/15/2012 4:25:17 PM PST by SMGFan

Yes, it was his choice to live or die.

There is no death penalty in CT.

If he chose to live would there be a call for the death penalty to return? No. Of course not. But there is a call to limit guns.

If he had killed in a death penalty state, and chose to live, would the liberals have fought to keep him alive? Would they argue he was not mentally sound? He did them a favor by killing himself?

This scum apparently wore bullet proof armor because he wanted to make sure he did his slaughter before a bullet could bring him down.
My heart breaks for those children and their parents.
What a senseless tragedy.

Anyone who murders 20 children is insane.

It is just as likely he wanted a Snicker bar, or to learn to surf, as whether he wanted to die. What went through his scrambled mind is as random as the lottery. We will never understand these people, nor predict their behavior. If zombies exist, these are them.

If he had no access to guns, he may have found some; or used a knife or machete or ANYTHING, to kill those kids if he was determined to kill.

In a society of millions, a certain percentage of people will be criminally insane. This means there are thousands of nutjobs out there with a burning desire to kill others. These people are often hard to identify. Some are completely normal just prior to committing an atrocity - something just snaps.

Only one strategy has any chance of protecting a school - armed guards & staff trained to deal with armed intruders.

Even Liberal movie people understand zombies, & they know the only way to deal with zombies is with guns.

Who knows what the truth is, but it has been reported that his mom had a LEO brother in the family.

Maybe she just took her own security and 2nd rights as seriously as many on here.

I should add:

These guns were likely stolen from his mother, so these guns were NOT legally obtained by the perp. He stole them just like any other criminal. If she didn't have any guns, he could have stolen them from someone else or bought them on the streets.

The “liberals” would be conflicted as they tried to demonize guns and try to set him up as an innocent victim of the gun culture at the same time. He probably did the Left more of a favor than he did us.

There is also a very real spiritual element.

The initial idea might not have been his, but demonic influence. The initial tempting idea, isn't a sin, but the willful acceptance by his volition to accept that idea is sinful. His continuing to pursue his murder spree, upon its conclusion set himself up to then judge himself.

The Adversary is an accuser. The murderer sets himself up to then be accused. If he has a habit of judging others, then justifying is perception of their unrighteousness by murdering them, he then sets himself up when the idea arises of his own unrighteousness, to follow through with his own judgment to murder himself, thinking this will be a righteous act to justify himself.

It doesn't, because it is an arrogant thinking process placing himself before God and His Provision.

Even a murderer has an opportunity for salvation, by accepting what God has provided in Jesus Christ being judged for all sins on the Cross. This doesn't mean a murderer escapes the consequences of his criminal behavior within society, but that his eternal destiny isn't oblivion if he accepts what God has provided him. The murderer still is to be punished by capital punishment and swiftly executed, to protect the people from such criminality.
