Raspberry Pi gets its own app store

Raspberry Pi is quite a popular little fellow and has finally got its own app store, the Pi Store.
The new store can be reached via the web or via the standalone app and gives developers and programers a unique place to offer their apps out to the world. The new Pi Store offers developers a choice to either charge for their apps, or give them for free with a tip jar option in case you want to push some funding into dev that you like.
Currently, or to be precise at launch, there are only 23 free titles but it is just a matter of time before more devs jump in.

That's interesting. I was just thinking about how to use my Raspberry Pi as a DLNA server so I don't have to keep a full PC running just to allow my blu-ray player access music on a remote hard drive on my network.

Cool. Ordered my Pi August 1st, finally arrived last week. Almost lost interest. Won’t have time to do anything with it until after the first of the year though.

I ordered mine from Newark
http://www.newark.com/ and it took a little over a month, but less time than they quoted. The pis are constantly on backorder. They are selling faster than the manufacturer makes them.

I ordered mine from MCM electronics. It arrived in a week. I LOVE this thing. I even built the LEGO case for it, based on plans you can download from the Raspberry Pi support site.

I also got mine via MCM, they only had the bundled ones (stand-alone Pis were back-ordered). Worth it, with Linux on a SD, plus a case and power supply. I run Debian on one of my home servers, so this should be pretty easy to get up-to-speed on.

Please let me know what you find - I am trying to find a way to stream music from a Zyxel NSA320 to my android phone (currently using Subsonic running on WinXP x64) and also found some other android apps that will run off MediaMonkey.
