I wish to purchase an FN-FAL and an AR-15, and I would like to do so with a fellow freeper who can accept payments over a period of months. There would be no delivery of the firearm until the payments are completed.
Good luck finding a FReeper who will sell!
I would like a MR762 or an AN94
You can’t write a check for a thousand bucks? Why the hell do you spend so much time and energy here if your finances are that tight?
Doesn’t Wal-Mart do lay-away now? I don’t know time limit or restrictions but FReepers are bitter, clinging to their Bibles and AR-15s or so I’m told.
Know any FReepers who have a Browning Hi-Power Single-Action auto who would like to sell it?
You know Laz, just suggesting the “in case of a freeze” implies some pretty stark and sobering thoughts about our government.
” Why the hell do you spend so much time and energy here”
Let each person live their own life. Some of us have Gone Galt, ya’ know.
Wha?! Yeah good luck with that.
Why don’t you just go buy one on a credit card and pay it of monthly taking a little interest hit.
Are you talking about an FN SCAR? 5.56 or .308......those are pretty pricey...
Don't wait. Go now.
Could I interest you in a Browning Bolt action 243 that has had less than a box shot through it?
You’ll never find a decent FAL.
You can only buy firearms in a private (non-FFL) transaction from a citizen of the same state.
I would study all applicable laws carefully, and interpret them in the most pessimistic manor possible.
Is that you, Eric?
Pretty much most stuff here implies some pretty stark and sobering thoughts about our government.

Hey Santa, are you listenin'? LOL
Dear Laz. Registered? Do you live someplace where that is a requirement? I keep seeing “registered to” in news articles but dang if I would want to live anywhere you have to register. Although it appears that they may all need to be registered if things keep going the way they are. Everybody needs to get on the phone, fax, email and hard copy letters to their reps/sen and demand they uphold the constitution they swore to uphold the same as many of us did when we joined the armed forces. I don’t think the commitment had an expiration date or a disclaimer that once you were discharged you were no longer required to uphold the oath. I considered it a life long commitment.

First thing first, my FRiend.
You are devilish to tempt me like that, but I am only looking for a pistol right now.
I have been reduced to using a TT-33 pistol for self-defense. An upgrade is needed, and that is all the money I have for now.
Thank you, but I will have to refrain at this time.
I would, in the case of an interstate purchase, have an FFL shipment component. I’d follow the rules.
Nice, but only good for CQC situations imho....
AR15 can get you from severeal hundred yards out.
I want to buy MagPul 30 rounders and 5.56 ammo. In the next coming weeks, before the end of January, I will be buying my share of guns, ammo and magazines. I have wanted to buy them earlier but didn’t have the means. Now that I do, I will. Unfortunately for me, it might be a bit too late to pick up the AR platform and 30 round mags. good thing I’ve got some backup plans.
Might try Panama . . . LOL
Wait, aren’t you going to call me a racist?
I think Wally World’s lay-a-way ended as of a few days ago since it is Christmas seasonal.
I took your post to indicate the desire for a private sale with no FFL involvement (hence no 4473). Didn’t want you walking into a minefield, or have your post “misinterpreted” by unfriendly parties. Cool.
I would like to get an AK-15, but Bill O’Reilly wouldn’t approve.
Right, FN SCAR great gun but pricey.
Your answer is the reason I am looking for one. Thanks for the tease, but at least there are some out there somewhere.
Have a good day!
If in GA, I would prefer a private sale. But outside GA, I’d need to follow the interstate rules.
The rest was bought in stages, with the most expensive piece being the complete upper for $415 + shipping (but you can buy the parts for about the same amount of money separately - barrel/upper/bolt/forward assist/charging handle/gas block/tube). Everything but the lower (as this is considered the "gun" by the BATFE) can be purchased without any FFL involvement and shipped direct to your door.
You could easily get this done for around $1,000 for all the parts, or as low as about $750 if you can find a kit for everything but the lower.
There’s no registration component where I live, but when (not if) the freeze goes into place I want to have myself on record as having possession of one.
I’ve been looking for that one weapon (Rifle) to finish off my collection. Pistols are finished, shotguns are finished, and that one elusive gotta-have is yet to come. I’m thinking it’s the SCAR.....it’ll hurt for a little bit on the pocketbook but I think I’m gonna get one in .308.....
You are of course entitled to waste as much time as you want on building and polishing your internet persona but how you gonna pay the rent in ten years...with cute GIFs??
Maybe he can be here while at his job. Don’t be an arrogant dick.
anyone know where I can get one?
I just do. So I can go to the range. If there is a later confiscation, well, you know how those tragic boating accidents are.
He lives in Georgia, like me. He’s talking about having a receipt that is dated now (or when he makes the deal) so that he can show a date he obtained it before any ban. Georgia does not register weapons.
What's a box of ammo cost for one of those things anyway?
“Get your butt down to your local shop and buy an AR-15 lower receiver. ATF considers this the gun and everythign else is unregulated parts. They build easy with no special tools, anyone can do it. Cost should be less than $150”
Well, no. The lower receiver, cause it has the serial number, is considered the firearm and all paper work to buy the receiver is the same as buying the whole weapon. The time you buy the parts needed to finish the ar, you can pretty much purchase a less expensive weapon like the S&W, which is a fine weapon regardless of price.
But, if you choose to build, it is a great way to get to know your rifle.
That was my thought as well, but after a quick glance at my favorite resource, it might be harder than you think.
OUT OF STOCK.
OUT OF STOCK.
OUT OF STOCK.
OUT OF STOCK.
There is no registration for such firearms in the state of Georgia at this time.
We all need to work on keeping it that way.
You’re plain outright rude. You should take it somewhere else if you’re feeling all uppitty....
