The guy with this Civil War era lever action rifle can fire it about as fast as any AR-15.

One correction, that isn’t a civil war era gun. Post civil war.

In the 1800’s and up until the 1990’s, young men were to busy working to feel alienated and angsty and too tired to go on shooting sprees. They also put all their excess energy into pursuing a mate, getting her pregnant, and then working even more to support the baby.

INDIAN ATTACKS ON THE TEXAS FRONTIER
PUBLISHED IN 1889 BY E. L. DEATON
A SCHOOL HOUSE TRAGEDY

There are several more alleged Indian raids on schoolhouses, but they are poorly documented, and some were part of larger raids on settlements.

The weapon in the video is post-civil war gun. Looks like a Winchester, the first Winchester lever gun was put out in '66.

However, the Henry lever-action repeating rifle ("yellow-boy") was used by some union regiments towards the end of the war, Its pretty heavily featured in that show "hell on wheels." Anyway, THAT is a civil-war era gun capable of similar rapid fire.

I can’t remember who said it but some was asked in a hearing by Feinstein IIRC why he needed an AR. His answer was PRICELESS. “Because you don’t want me to have one!”. Shut her up. Probably the only time ever.

The fact of the matter is that nobody can show me even a single instance of a school shooting in the 1800's when:

Sorry, just to make sure we keep things factual, school shootings are not new. Humanity by nature is violent. (the following are just the notable ones considering that news wasn't national, not everything may have been reported as to have been picked up.)

“It’s the culture stupid......it ain’t the guns.”

pssst, I’ll let you in on another little secret that the lamestream media will never discuss:

Eric Harris, Dylan Klebold, Jared Loughner, James Holmes, and Adam Lanza

Some from broken homes, some from nuclear families, some from money, some from poverty, different levels of education, different parts of the country, and yet one thing absolutely common with ALL of them -

No relationship of any type with the opposite sex.

The mind of a NORMAL 15 year old boy should be: girls, girls, girls.

Of course the problem with ever discussing this is the fact that liberals and the lamestream media are doing there best to convince everyone that not being interested in girls is just as normal as being interested in them (if not, how else can you make the case that homosexuality is ‘normal’).

But the fact remains: any teenage male that would prefer to hide out in a basement and play violet video games rather than be out trying to meet girls - ain’t normal. Somebody will probably find a reason to flame this comment - but I am sorry. Wanting to be around girls, wanting have some sort of relationship with girls, hell just wanting to walk down the street with a girl - it’s what we do, we’re guys. And being attracted to the opposite sex IS what is NORMAL.

I have this old test of the .44 Rf Henry Rifle.

15 shot magazine, yet they could still get off 25 aimed shots a minute.

Government tests showed a Henry could get off 120 shots in five minutes, including loading.

During the Civil War, Captain James M Wilson was attacked by seven guerrillas who were set on killing him. With the Henry he shot all seven instead.

Should the Henry be banned as it held 15 cartridges?

The fact of the matter is that nobody can show me even a single instance of a school shooting in the 1800's when:

-there were no background checks

-there were no age limits

-there were no waiting periods

-there were no arbitrary gun restrictions

-guns were much more easily accessible to kids

-gun safes practically did not even exist

-gun locks did not exist at all

-lever action guns in skilled hands can fire almost as fast as a semi auto AR

And no question at all that someone would shoot them dead on the spot if they tried that crap.

The leftists want to make this a question of “do we need AR-15s and semiautomatic rifles?”. We should just respond, that’s the wrong question. The real question is: “do we want to be free?”

It’s been true from time immemorial that you can’t be a free man if you can’t bear arms privately, and if you can bear arms privately, then it is proof that you are a free man. If the leftist says “Do we need guns?”, just say “Do you still need your freedom?”

The earliest known United States shooting to happen on school property was the Pontiac’s Rebellion school massacre on July 26, 1764, where four Lenape American Indians entered the schoolhouse near present-day Greencastle, Pennsylvania, shot and killed schoolmaster Enoch Brown, and killed nine or ten children (reports vary). Only three children survived.[1]
