Now that the movie is out, we know the real reason its release was delayed until after the election. The Right were hoodwinked into thinking it would be too favorable to Obama, and made medium level noises against its earlier release, thinking it would help propel him to a second term. In fact, although I haven’t yet seen it, from the noises being made it appears that the movie may actually be a more realistic depiction than either side first thought.
I was initially led to believe that it would be a propaganda tool for the administration, so I vowed not to contribute to the cause. But now, after several conservatives have had positive things to say, the movie is on my “must watch” list.
