I would have gone with 11 drums of water and 1 mean hunting dog in the song.

The world is supposed to end today, isn’t it?

I thought it had when I woke up, but I realized that was the cat doing a tap dance on my bladder.

From the catz perspective: I was minding my own business, dancing in the winter solstice as the sun rose, and next thing, the world ended, and I was flying across the room...

Merry Christmas.

It wouldn’t hurt to print out CB and Q codes to keep beside radios for those members of your team who don’t know them. It also wouldn’t hurt to have your own private codes.

Please add a strong male servant in that song. I just got back from buying Christmas dinner food and for days after that, then had to get it in the house and it was all heavy.

The ham is 9 1/2 lbs. and that was one trip from the car just to get the ham in the house. That is too much weight for me. I really need a servant. Hussein has servants so to be equal, I should have them, too.

I received my hand operated grain mill. So I am ready to try it out on some of the Red Winter Wheat, and White winter wheat we grew last winter.

I have been using an extra coffee grinder I had and mixing it with all purpose flour, because the coffee grinder wasn’t fine enough. This mill is supposed to be able to grind it fine enough for bread.

This is part of my nutritional, pesticide free food effort, because wheat looses a lot of its nutritional value within a very few days of grinding, but it also fits in nicely with prepping, I think.

Also, the last several bags of flour from the store had bugs which freaked out Hubby and I had to pitch it. I told him it was just a little extra protein. LOL. Freaked him out some more LOL.

I ordered a few basics from the LDS online store. I have several cookbooks regarding meals from pantries with sections on food storage, that I ordered for Christmas gifts.

Thanks to Marcella for the Melitta Ready set Joe suggestion, which I am giving to a couple of people for Christmas who need to be able to make just one cup of coffee, so it serves the dual purpose for now, and when the electric goes off. They’ll be preppers and never know it.LOL.

TEX, put “Melitta Ready set Joe” in search at Amazon and they will come up. They are inexpensive. You can buy just the filter or the filter with the cup. I, too, have given these as Christmas gifts because they are so handy and the resulting coffee is great. The plastic filter uses a #2 paper filter. I have stacks of those paper filters in my preps.

I use mine anytime I want a cup of coffee. Since the hot water is going directly through the coffee and into the cup, there is no boiling or recirculating the coffee so you get pure coffee taste with one pass through.

Does anyone here have any experience with this “Stove In A Can”?

http://store.preppersnetwork.com/stove-in-a-can

A neighbor asked me about it, as an ‘easy alternative’ to Kartographer’s “Rocket Stove”, which I think is a far, far better unit.
