full title....Aptostichus barackobamai: US President gets a trapdoor spider named after him as researchers reveal 33 terrifying new species
Researchers in America has revealed 33 new species of trapdoor spider, including Aptostichus barackobamai, named for Barack Obama.
The President is believed to be a fan of Spiderman, and was earlier this week pictured in the Whitehouse playing with a young fan.
The new creatures were all found in the American Southwest, and is the largest ever find in the secretive family which hides underground in specially built burrows with a silk trapdoor.

Obviously I do not know this for sure but I would not be surprised if Obama were a demonic being. Well I guess I would be a little surprised but not a whole lot.
This comes from the same mental disturbance that gave 0 an undeserved Nobel Peace prize, a picture on Time mag, and a second term.
I think naming an ugly bloodsucker after our president is very appropriate.
Not a backdoor spider?
Does this spider steal prey from other spiders to give to spiders who won’t hunt their own?
He also has a newly discovered lichen named after him: Caloplaca obamae:
and an extinct lizard named Obamadon gracilis.
Found another one. Etheostoma Obama, a newly discovered freshwater fish.
Here’s 3 good ones:
Agathidium rumsfeldi !!
You know, I’ve seen a few of these naming-species-after-Obama stories, and I’m starting to come to the conclusion that some of these scientists are conservative wise-guys that are sticking Obama with some distasteful beings.
Oh just wait.
Sooner or later someone will wake up and name all the cockroaches after him.
What do we do when we come across this spider?
If we step on it will we be arrested?
Do we spray it with Raid?
Do we send it to the white hut to reunite it with its family?
And after New Years I have to go back there. It's where I work.
