I bought a number of Rugers this year to add to those I've purchased over the years. I've always been satisfied with them.
I think this quote from the article sort of says it all;
“The Federal government has literally purchased billions of rounds of ammunition in the last two years. Coupled with the riot gear and cross-training of local law enforcement and military for domestic policing and detention operations, many believe they are gearing up for something big.
“Moreover, the same government that is obviously mobilizing for some undisclosed future threat, is simultaneously taking steps to disarm American citizens.”
The background check goes to a clerk who does an NCIC check. Federal law, once again, forbids keeping records of exactly who got the background check.
I'd rather know all those details than be able to deliver a baby... I've seen that done. Wimmenz are strong.

So will the seller of the gun you purchased from........Don't forget, his purchase was recorded too and I'm sure he'd be more than willing to give your name and address if offered a deal.....
That's wishing for something that won't happen and won't ever be. It's a long wait where a train don't come.
Fuming at the world as it is reduces your ability to enjoy life today. Deep breath, double shot of something from Tennessee, and Merry Christmas.

LaPierre should get a commission from the gunstores for waking up a lot of the sheeple!

Uncle Sam isn't going to depend on local police or military to get the job done. The Federal Agents will do the dirty work as they already proved in Waco back in '93.
Well, I didn’t know how that worked and thought I did. I thought when the guy did the background check that all my info. answering those questions went to the govn. and they knew right then what gun I bought. Thanks for that info. because that makes me feel better.
I can never be tested to see if I am sane because I know all the right answers to those questions and ink blots to “look” sane since I’ve given many hundreds of them. You, however.....
And thanks to you for the info. about those gun forms. I was really mixed up about that. I was giving the govn. more power than they actually have to know what I did.
That is why the petty tyrant in our White House is afraid of real Americans - the ones who cling to God and to guns. I pray daily that America will make it through four more terrible years as a free country and without a second civil war. It's a good thing that God is in the miracle business.
So everyone needs to sell their weapons.
How many otherwise law abiding citizens are armed in states where concealed carry is deemed illegal or severely restricted?
The question is is our government prepared both in will and in resources to handle from a law enforcement standpoint millions upon millions of citizens becoming felons overnight or atleast in a short time?
I don't believe those in favor of people control are dumb enough to attempt it. They will try other angles. I won't mention them because I don't want to give the morons any ideas.
LOL! I scared the catz laughing so hard.
I've never claimed sanity. I do, however, have useful skillsets, don't make messes in the house, and sometimes wear pants.

Lets just say I got a very late start in life on exercising my 2A right;-). Not sure that is an option.
Waco tied up a huge amount of their resources, I’m guessing, and they’re pushing now for thousands of simultaneous Wacos - not feasible, IMHO. Time will tell.
This is why people buy guns.
Such a “mass felonization” would make a large percentage of Republicans ineligible to vote.
Many believe the US government planned, financed and executed 9/11. Many believe the Newtown, Ct. slaughter was committed by more than a single shooter using government instituted mind control.

Just think of George Bush and Cheney saying we have to give up our guns or even one particular gun or one type clip/magazine. No way would they have allowed this to happen. I can see Cheney in full charge getting rid of that idea.
The idea of taking our guns makes me want to buy some more just to spit in their eye.
I don’t fume at the world brother I just point out stupidity where I can.
Gun threads on FR have gotten to be fertile ground lately.
And do you believe?
“...confiscation comes he will try the....the UN third.”
Mmmm - Blue Helmets - mercenaries from Angola and Bolivia and other 3rd-World paradises - sounds like a target-rich environment....
I remember conversations back in 1970 about that. We (gun owners) are in a much better place than we were back then.

Those that I know, Marshals/FBI/BP, would refuse to participate.
“....a neighborhood watch that rewards snitches and religious Christian zealots.”
How do you put those two in the same sentence? And what do you consider a “zealot”? Most Bible-believing Christians I know are also gun-toting patriots.
Are you even from this country?
Believe what?
Anyway... the double shot from somewhere in Tennessee and a Merry Christmas are appropriate. ;)

I was thinking about confiscation of weapons and wonder if each county, based on party affiliation, would make a difference in confiscating guns?
Like my county is about 98% Republican. This is a “Bubba” county in the extreme. Every friend a cop has is a Bubba. Every official in this county is a Republican and all their friends are big gun owners. It seems to me it would be difficult for law enforcement to give in to taking guns from people in this county.
Everyone think about your county. If you live in a very liberal county you could be turned in to the cops by those liberals and the cops might relish taking your guns. They could just prance from house to house taking conservative’s guns, MAKING THEIR COUNTY “SAFE”.
Do you live among conservatives or liberals? If it is liberals, are you thinking about getting out of Dodge with your guns and going to a county where everyone loves their guns?
Does it make a difference or not?
Remember, you are not a captive on gun threads, you have the option of going to a Starbuck’s coffee thread and if there isn't one, you could start one. I like Cafe Latte with extra foam.
When I left the keys hanging on the front door for about a week, the cop told me, John, you can't bait like that.
Funny thing, they always look down to see what I'm wearing. ;)
I'm the guy that gets them in trouble because their situational awareness is less than good. I try to make noise when walking up on them, so they don't react badly.
I'm less than worried about the local yokels. I'd catch a bullet for any of them. Even the fat chicks are good people.

snitches who turn in gun owner’s and church goer’s
I won't go to a church where most folks aren't carrying.
You might want to take that chip off your shoulder.
/johnny
Well I am not a coward and I’ll openly state that I have every gun I ever purchased.
Come and get them!
My pointing out the tiresome crap from a few is no different than telling a buffoon that his fly is open. I consider it a service but don’t care if they remedy the situation or not. If they want to be tiresome it is their affair.
Good evening and good whiskey to you.
I’m pretty sure the top three photos are from the Florida Gun Exchange store in Holly Hill, Florida. Great store with very knowledgeable staff.
On 2nd thought, maybe not, but it sure looks a LOT like it.
“...snitches who turn in gun owners and church goers.”
Ahh - gotcha. Often times that would be a two-fer. Not worried about goin’ down swingin’ - I’m goin’ home to Jesus anyways....
“Funny thing, they always look down to see what I’m wearing. ;)”
Well, I have a better mental picture of you since it is now winter. I think you have pants on now. Note I paged Kart since he is interested in your choice of body coverings as the seasons pass. Just think, if you lived up north, you’d almost have to wear covering clothing most of the year.
Most of the men I know CC at church. Don’t know about the ladies, though.
“...it is their affair.” Good, so you won't have to “rock their boat” any more about their losing their guns when the boat turned over.
Our gun friends on these threads have been out a lot of money from losing their guns in a boat accident. You don't seem to have empathy for their losses. A pity.
I expect on Tuesday next, I'll be toasting "friends not present". And a bunch of smelly barstids that I happen to be related to, for certain values of related, will lift their glass.
Tonight, I'm stuck with coffee and later, some cheap store-bought beer.

Why does zero keep doing things to shoot weapons sales thru the roof, over and over again?
Can Jarrett seriously not put 1 + 1 together?
Hate to break it to you sister, but that horse left the barn about two years ago...
I traded a few and sold a few I wish I hadn't. Sentimental value more than monetary. My first being a Winchester Model 94 that I ordered from the J C Penney catalog.
Well good luck.
My relatives are my wife and our progeny and their progeny.
Life is good.
Take care!
JR, you always put a smile on my face. Merry Christmas!
I guessing it won't look like that.
First, they pass a law making, let's say, AR15s illegal to own.
Then they can use this law to pick up any offender, at their own pace, selectively.
No need to make a dangerous sweep. Just enforce the law as they wish, like they do now.
My regret is selling my ‘72 Chevelle SS.
Merry Christmas!
At that rate my grandkids will have grandkids.
