Free Republic is only showing a few posts at http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/*/index.
When one goes to the next page a lot of posts are skipped.
Anyone else seeing this?
Yes, same here...
It wasn’t me. My beeper is out of stune.
Go to your ‘account settings’ and reduce both sets of ‘views’ to 20. :)
All those federal workers who are at home because they voted for Obama are obviously visiting FR to see the comments about their exaulted service to the president and his serfs, thus clogging up the system.
I switched to view 20 from view 50 as a work around.
I am suffering the same problem. Glad to see that it is not my computer screwing up.

This happened a few weeks ago. And I suspect it is happening again.
Yes. John and Jim know of the problems. No. It is not your computer. And yes. It will be fixed soon.
But in the meantime, keep posting vanities asking what is wrong; why can't I see the rest of the replies; why are only 8 threads showing and so on.
“Go to your account settings and reduce both sets of views to 20. :)”
I tried that, but it does not help. :-(
This is strange...
This conversation is running on Three threads and i seem to be the only one it works for.
Best we wait for the experts to arrive. :)
No problems here
I’m getting the same truncated screens. Links are being disabled as well.
see post 4 and 19 on the thread below and see if that works for you.
I've noticed this with problems before on here. Only some people are affected...Odd.
Merry CHRISTmas ,Joe.
Disable the extra side panes, too. The bookmarks, headline news, breaking news, etc.
Yes- here in N Nevada, I am only getting what you describe.
Skipped yesterday, doing last minute year end stuff with bookkeeping.
Don’t know when this started, but it certainly is limiting access to information I don’t get anywhere else.
Is FR being hacked?
Are you logged in?
So why did it happen? What exactly was the problem? Was it a database problem? Or was it a case of tweaking something and as a result these odd symptons developed. If you have a clue, as you imply, you could help us all by telling us what is going on.
If it is a database problem, I’m guessing that it will not affect everyone similarly at the same time. Calls to the database by the server may still return the data requested sometimes but not always.
It also affects you depending on what browser you use.
Use Mozilla? You might be affected in ways a Firefox or IE8 users might not be.
