Secretary of State nominee John Kerry, with 20 years of concern about climate change, is expected to push the issue to center stage as a slow-motion crisis in need of a global solution.
When he sought to defeat President George W. Bush in 2004, the Democratic senator from Massachusetts made a point of challenging the Bush administration's backtracking on the issue and rejection of climate science. In contrast, he told the nation, he believes in science.

If a liberal cares about something, it makes them an expert...sheesh
Hold onto your wallets.
If I were a big big war hero like Kerry I’d probably stay away from Cambodia/Thailand/Vietnam. He must have ‘offed’ several thousand natives whose relatives may hold a grudge. On second thought, I hope he goes there!!
Sure, let him spend half his time in Beijing twisting Xi’s arm on
gas reductions. Snort!
Hold on to your wallet!!! Here comes Hanoi Boi!
Hey John effin Kerry.....the sun is on strike.....lack of sunspots this cycle predicts at best another 400 year mini ice age.
When it isn’t globull warming it’s climate change. They want it both ways. If we go into another ice age it’ll be climate change, if the temps rise it’s global warming. Or a blizzard. I forget which.
(or just google "lack of sunspots in 2012")
Time to break open the Kerry file, again....
Behind every successful man there's a woman. He has just about the best to get him where he is today.
Oh great! John Kerry wants to elevate something he is incredible stupid on and has half the intelligence of Gore about...yeah, that makes him such an expert.
Of course he will. Climate Change and sustainable development is how the wealthy are creating new ways to make money - such as cap and trade. Kerry/Heinz are deep into the Tides Foundation with George Soros.
They will use climate change as a foil to undermine local control/elective representative government and institute a command and control government from the top down. (Like is currently being done in CA.) They will use regulations to squash small business to the advantage of large multi-national corporations. They will use UN schemes to dispossess people of their property and reallocate it under their control. They will set aside vast areas of federal land from resource development to create scarcity of energy and other resources.
Kerry is a champion of the New World order and you will be at the bottom and he and his wealthy cohorts at the top.
What I dread, more than anything, is the back in the spotlight Theresa. OMG!
Kerry will not have a chance to press climate change—its like George Bush wanting to be the education president. He’s going to be busier than a one armed paper hanger—the minute he steps into the job he’s going to face one problem after the other. He will be jeting to one trouble spot after another. He’s going to earn his pay for a change—yes, and people will even be shooting at him too. He will face more combat than he did in Vietnam. Kerry will be glad he’s out of the Senate too. Watch as he starts to look gray and wrinkle up like a prune. Who knows? He might really do a good job? Stranger things have happened. Many believe the best person in Obama’s Team was Hillary—makes you wonder how bad the others were?
What by the wave of his hand?
He probably never fired a gun over there....The hero’s that fragged him...got his ass out of there...so he didn’t lead them into shit-storms.
I wasn’t aware that “climate change” was in the Secretary of State’s job description. This will put Algore out of work.
>>It must be difficult to be so consistently stupid. <<
Apparently not — liberals seem to find it quite easy.
>>If I were a big big war hero like Kerry Id probably stay away from Cambodia/Thailand/Vietnam. He must have offed several thousand natives whose relatives may hold a grudge. On second thought, I hope he goes there!!<<
Wait — you mean to tell me that he was in Vietnam? Really??? Knock me over with a feather! Vietnam?? kerry? That has to be the best-kept secret EVER!
algore is broke again?
John Kerry should be rotting in prison.
Another America-hating SoS on deck. How lovely.
If John Kerry is worried about climate change you can bet the farm he has money invested in it.
Gore is getting even richer with his climate investments and its a sure thing if Kerry is pushing it he has a monetary investment also.
We should begin thinking of the cap and trade fees as a regressive tax on the poor and middle class. that is what it is, a trickle down involuntary tax.
The clown is not just a liar, and a traitor, but clueless about the most elementary definition of science.
Science is NOT computer simulations; science is not manipulated data from the past. Science is not concluding that a combination of a series of possibles, but improbables, have the certainty of documented past events.
It's bad enough that we have one major gobal warming moron at NASA, we might soon have another at the State Department!
The State Department?
Mr. Jenjis Kahn better go back to his ketchup arrested development existence. Time to grow up, Dude!
More opportunity for him to lie to Congress.
As Obamacare slides in, the cliff gets fallen over, or the deal Boehner sets up we are going to see a lot more taxes.
We are about to enter the tax zone.
Climate change? Kerry knows, he was in... Vietnam!
Well he better hurry up
Weve had so much rain the last few days my van got stuck in the mud on my lawn this afternoon..
HALP JON CARRY !!!!
Too bad for John that the senate will be more conservative next week than it is right now.
The republicans lost two seats, essentially, they lost Snowe and Brown, both of whom would always vote for stupid international treaties anyway.
And Deb Fischer is essentially replacing Lugar, while Donnelly is essentially replacing Nelson. With this switch, the democrat caucus becomes more liberal while the republican caucus becomes more conservative (especially without Brown and Snowe)
Add to that the replacements of Hutchison with Cruz and Kyl with Flake, there will be a more harder line republican caucus in the senate who will question these stupid treaties. Kerry will enjoy the striped-pants world stage life but he will be miserable when he can’t get anything through the senate.
Didn’t Kerry ‘get his’ by marrying wealthy women? I suspect he’s got something to prove to the guys with a pair... like how he can lord it over them... Wasn’t his wife’s first husband ( the one who made all the money ) a Republican?
