Philadelphia high schools to welcome students back with free condom dispensers

The Philadelphia Health Department will install clear plastic dispensers brimming with free condoms at 22 of Philadelphia’s public high schools over winter break.

The schools chosen for the pilot program have the highest rates of students infected with sexually transmitted diseases in the city, Philly.com reports. All students — even those as young as 14 — will be eligible to score free condoms unless their parents sign a form prohibiting them from participating.

The primary issue city officials hope to address with the pilot program is not teen pregnancy, but the growing prevalence of sexually transmitted disease among adolescents.

Teens currently account for a quarter of new HIV infections and STDs in the City of Brotherly Love.

“I support the policy strongly,” Mayor Michael A. Nutter told Philly.com. “This is a serious public health matter.”

I think it’s a great idea for Detroit ,Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington DC.

The country will be a better place when the denizens of these particular cities have fewer children.

Face it these cities are the Capitols of murder, less breeding, less citizens, less murders.

Kids need to be told NO

If they are old enough for sex they are old enough to move out and get jobs and take care of themselves

This works for me!
First of all, who on earth gives a rat’s behind about Philadelphia schools? Second, anything short of abortion that can maybe reduce the number of welfare litters spawned by Philadelphia school girls can’t be a bad thing.

I wonder if they’re ribbed condoms with receptacle ends?

it's not a case of if/where they will get them or not, same as guns, it's the simple fact that the default position is give it to them... parents are out of the loop

Ya, what could God possibly be upset with us about?

As for the notion that we’ve made our behavior free of any consequence.....

third rate condoms are not the answer. Getting them to stop having sex would reduce their numbers.

That’s right. Ever since the kings of Israel and Magna Carta. But we live in “transformational” times: morality and ethics transforming into debauchery and deceit, and liberty into a nation of sheep.

If the condoms break the govt is liable.

Do these govt officials not realize they can be sued for breaking condoms!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

“Opt out”? Let’s call it what it is: RANSOM or JIZA

It is still possible to opt a kid out of the government temples of atheistic humanist secularism ( Oops! “schools”). It is called private or home schooling but at an extra price.
