(Satire) Americans Blame Republicans More Than Democrats For "Pretty Much Everything": Poll
Free Republic Semi-News Semi-Satire | Dec 27, 2012 | By Laz. A. Mataz

(Reuters) - Americans blame Republicans in Congress more than congressional Democrats or President Barack Obama for pretty much everything, states a new poll out from Ipsos.

"We questioned Americans who is responsible, and they indicated it was Republicans. We didn't ask them 'responsible for what?'. We just left that open-ended," said Lou Z. Pollster.

"I'm sure Republicans cause old age," said one respondant, "and my dog went missing. Republicans again!"

"Entropy has been described as the eventual heat-death of the universe," said another respondent, who identified himself as a physicist, "and REPUBLICANS are to blame for this!"

When asked who they believed to be more responsible for absolutely everything, 87 percent blamed Republicans in Congress, 10 percent blamed Obama and 3 percent pointed to Democrats in Congress.

The survey of 34 Americans, interviewed at homeless shelters, was conducted December 23-27. The precision of the Reuters/Ipsos online polls is measured using a credibility interval. In this case, the poll has a credibility interval of plus or minus 72.9 percentage points.

Gee, Laz. They didn’t have to get dirty going to a homeless shelter for their poll. They could have gone to a newsroom or college faculty lounge. Much better company there than the smelly unwashed proletariat.

(I’m particularly waiting for the poster who in a detailed and utterly serious post challenged my assertion last night that we can expect 4 more Bush presidencies given that Papa Bush has 4 sons and a daughter.)

It is only fair to blame the Republicans because they offer so little in the elections. The Demorats give away the farm and leave a mess and the Republicans clean it up. The press holds Republicans the responsible party as everything that goes wrong they are responsible.

That’s not satire.

I’ve had three friends tells my just that in the last two days.

I explained that while Congress is responsible for creating and submitting budgets they are reconciled by the Senate and Harry Reid has made clear he will not let any budget see the floor for a vote.

In fact, he has done so the last two years the Republicans have controlled the House and there has, in fact, been no budget submitted to the President for approval or veto because of Harry Reid.

The irony is the President and the House are integral in crafting a budget and getting it approved and the President has a submitted four budgets in a row which were roundly defeated unanimously. That’s 100% of republicans and democrats said “Uhm, No Skippy”.

So I ask “Who is being irresponsible?”.

And the truth is both sides.

It’s gonna be a huge Shiite sandwich and we’re all gonna have to take a bite.

That is very funny. It would be a lot funnier if it wasn’t so true.

Sometimes, I think it would have been better for the Dems to have complete control of Congress. That way they would have no credible way to blame anybody else for their failed policies.

Then I think, they would still find a way to blame someone else. Also, with repubs in charge of the HR, we still have a slim chance of avoiding major gun control restrictions — slim chance.

Incorrect. If Republicans never existed in history, they would still be blamed.

You know the media really does things like this when polling. And when they don’t get the results they like, they just don’t report it.

87 percent blamed Republicans in Congress

I have one low information neighbor who voted for 0 bummer because of health care. He was spouting something about finally getting free health care. I printed out the new taxes involved in the bill. He was shocked and said no news outlet ever reported this.

I told him the state run media was covering bummer's butt. I also informed him that dingy hairy hasn't proposed a budget in the past four years and not a single dim voted for bummer's budget. Two more facts he has never heard in the SRM.

That my FRiends is what reelected the worst thing to ever occupy the white hut. They hate facts and huff and puff as they leave.

BTW, the Republicans also caused a pipe to break at my house and we got an outrageous utility bill.

I am outraged!!!!!!
