Seeing that the CA Fascist thug from the US House of Lords, Dianne "Brownshirt" Feinstein. is threatening law-abiding US peasants with forced National Firearm Act registration of ALL semi-automatic weapons, the question arises:
Can the BATF search your house at will if you have an NFA registered weapon?
I have seen this answered in the affirmative elsewhere.
Basically, the Fascist thug old bat wants to get rid of the 4th Amendment for gun-owning peasants, as she knifes the Second Amendment in the back.
Funny how those bastards think they know what everybody else needs.
That sort of thing does not happen here when firearms purchasess - on both sides of he aisle and in all populations with respect to political persuasion - are at an all time high, and have been hitting record levels, both among Republicans and Democrats - for several years.

I assume Americans are not paying $40-$60 each for 30-round AR-15 magazines, and $1,500-$2,000 each for black rifles because they want to sell them “back” to Nancy Pelosi for $5 each on the magazines and $500 each on the rifles (involuntarily trading our own property for token amounts of our own money!). I just hoped that the far left fringe would back off in time to avoid another civil war. I don’t expect a just ruling through the Constitution and the Supreme Court. The only resolution for this conflict is through the ultimate source of government power - the people. Watering the Tree of Liberty is sometimes necessary but always ugly.

What I am saying - personally - is that I believe that ultimately cooler heads will prevail, and no new (and invariably both misdirected and useless) legislation will be enacted.

You are correct and mistaken at the same time. Constitutionally they have no right. Emergency EOs (illegally) give them that right. They were busting in doors in NO during Katrina, knocking people down and taking their weapons.
You want to talk rights? Might makes right. And contrary to what most FReepers seem to think, 80% of the grunts in the military *will* obey orders to kick your door in and search your house. And any half assed claims of boating accidents, Constitutional rights or any other BS will be answered with a boot on your neck at the minimum. More likely, if you don't get shot you will get your teeth kicked in.
