Merrill Hoge suffered one - or three - too many concussions in his career.

Ryan and the GM - Tannehill? - are gone after this season. He stayed with Sanchez too long, and now doesn’t want to play Tebow, because if Tebow were to be successful Ryan would catch heat for not making the Sanchez - Tebow switch earlier. But after this disaster that has been the 2012 Jets, I don’t see how anyone keeps their job.

People hate Tim Tebow for only one reason. In the dark still of the night, they are afraid God is real.

Bingo. After 2000+ years, Jesus is still intimidating people.

He is a good man. I had my son read his autobiography. He is such a good and decent man. I am a LSU fan and hated him when he was at Florida but I respected him and wished he was ours. God bless Tim.

I’m a Viking fan. Tebow is better than any of our QBs. We get excited when Ponder completes a 5 yard pass. Send him here!

I thought that the Jets were going to use all sorts of wildcat variants with Tebow. Tebow is a sub-par passer in the pocket, but out of the pocket he is great on short passes and he can scramble and is a serious rusher.

I think Ryan wasted a huge opportunity. So much so that I have to believe that it was deliberate.

Tebow to replace Christian? There's some poetry in that! Would love to see Tebow and AP sharing a backfield.

Well, let’s talk about detroit and drew stanton...

he goes in, wins 2 out of 3 games for detroit in a losing season, and what do they do to him?

pull him out and put in the guy with a broken hand..

I really hope he gets a shot somewhere, cuz being luck’s backup is not going to get him any playing time

Ryan and the GM - Tannehill? - are gone after this season

Woody Johnson bought the Jets as a hobby. He wouldn't know football talent if it came up to him and kissed the tip of his nose. Ryan and Tannehill will be around next year, to admit they failed now would be to admit they were wrong all year long. They needed a scapegoat, TEBOW is it.....pick on him, ignore the obvious. Week after week Ryan made excuses. He runs out of excuses so he creates this story about Tebow pulling himself out, which Tebow has denied...and still Ryan don't answer the question about who made the decision......so he leaves it up to the media to destroy Tebow. What other professional football coach does that to a player?....where is he to counter the smears? Ryan has lied all year long, from game plan to game plan, excuse after excuse, so at the end of a horrible season he goes quiet.

The sports media is just as liberal as the MSM...and you wonder how these NFL players became such wussified to spew such nonsense

Tebow is despised for being a conservative Christian.

Elway trashed Tebow in the press and treated him like dog poop.
Sorry, but Elway is scum as far as how he treats players.

Elway said Tebow was the type of guy he would like to see his daughter marry, just didn't see Tebow as a long term solution to the Bronco QB problem. That problem was nicely put to rest with Payton Manning's arrival in Denver.
As far as Elway's treatment of players you are not likely to find many in the NFL who would agree that he treats his players poorly. There's a very strong possibility John Elway will be this seasons recipient of the NFL executive of the year award. To go next to his first round selection to the NFL Hall of Fame award in his trophy case.

I'd like to see Tim Tebow join the Jaguars and lead them to a Super Bowl.

I think Jags fans would be happy just to have their first winning season in years since their disastrous decline after the 14-2 1999 season in which the Titans knocked them off.

I see Elway's problem. Do you take a chance on a 36 year old (but with a dodgy neck)Super Bowl winner (Peyton Manning) who "might" bring you another ring, or gamble on a guy (Tebow) who clearly has talent, but is still an unknown quantity as far as what he can do.

Honestly there are no easy answers.

Had Peyton stayed with the Colts, could he have brought it home? Maybe. Andrew Luck is pretty good.

Could Tim bring it home? Maybe. He's pretty young.

With hundreds of million dollars riding on your decision, I truly don't know the answer.

Tebow "may" be a great QB, but benching him makes NO kind of sense.

Use him, or trade him.

Sanchez REALLY sucks, and I'm not a NYJ fan.

Hoge is a moron. IMO, Tebow was the best of the nightmare that was and is the New York Jets. Ryan should have been fired along with the GM. Sanchez should be gone, money or not to ride the bench in Ottawa or something.

The president of our local track club (that's a running group) even took the liberty of bashing Tebow on Facebook the other day. Most everyone ignored his post. The president of the club really needs to tone down the rhetoric lest he chase members away - like me!
