Suicide by train conductor is pretty similar to suicide by cop.
No, it's not. This man was suffering from depression (a medical condition), not committing a crime.
Purposely running your vehicle into a train is a crime. Pulling a weapon on a cop is a crime. Both the cop and the train engineer do not deserve the pain of being forced into killing a suicidal person. I'm not sure why you see it differently, but its ok that you do. :)

You are so right....people think nothing about a malfunction of any of our organs...If a bone can break, a brain can also malfunction...people fear and will not admit that, its too scary to think it could happen to them...The reason people fear also is when the brain is malfunctioning, it effects behavior....Cat scans and especially Pet scans show in real time with pictures what parts of the brain are not functioning....try living as some schizophrenics do when the pet scan shows over 1/2 of the brain is not functioning....I pass no judgment on this poor soul, no one could see his pain because they cannot see what part of the brain may not be working....Lots of judgment and arrogance going on here, more so than when other suicides are written about....
The only one that knows the total story of this soul is Jesus, the rest is just so much name calling and judgment from those that have never been in that deep hole called clinical depression....and its not, as some seem to think just selfish or feeling down for a couple of days. Brains can go wrong is many ways...believe it, know it and pray it doesn't happen to you or one you love....you wouldn't even have a clue as to how to help that person except to tell them to quit being so selfish I gather from many of the replies...In other words, your useless in dealing with such people at best, and do more damage at worse...
