Posted on 12/29/2012 10:19:13 AM PST by fantail 1952
Our Declaration of Independance in its first sentance, includes "it becomes neccessary to dissolve the political bands" will take on a new meaning startng February 27.
There is a movement afoot to celebrate the fourth anniversary of Rick Santelli's tea party rant on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live on CNBC television, which had the effect of spurring thousands, and then millions to form Tea Parties all across America, by re-registration of Tea Party members from Republican to indeependant.
It is believed that a sudden drop of more than millions of GOP registrations will send a message to the GOP elite, who have continually demeaned and belittled the TP efforts time after time, and which was blamed unfairly for the Republican losses in November.
The Tea Parties were in fact, fully responsible for the GOP successes in 2010, and are to be commended for limiting the Democrats massive voter fraud in the presidential race, and indeed saved many senate and congressional seats that would have been lost by the GOPelite or stolen by the Dems. The GOP itself is to blame for losing many of these seats by not supporting the largely TP/conservative nominees, and by failing to challange fraudulent vote counts in several key states. That, in addition to nomination a presidential canddidate that a small minority of its base wanted.
Oh, sure, they did try to assuage this discontent by selecting a fairly conservative running mate for the ticket, but TP people were not fooled!
Thus, the Rebellion begins in earnest Feb. 17th, 2013. The message will be sent, but the question of whether it will be received and understood, is up to the GOPelite.
If the mnessage is not received and understood by the party, it is likely that we, along with many of those we elected and retained in both 2010 and 2012 will come with us. Thus, we will, in effect, put the GOP in the minority in several state houses and perhaps even the US house of representatives.
This, my FReinds, could develop into a rerun of 160 years ago!
I gave up on the republican party a dozen years ago.
BTW the spelling is independEnt.
Democrats everywhere applaud your effort.
Dream on, you are a dem operative, go away.
Every situation should have been challenged so that at the next election cycle the Rats think twice before trying it again.
I’ve always thought it would be best to re-register en masse as Democrats. Then go to their next meeting & vote out all of their leaders & replace with hard-line conservatives. The far leftist types then might leave for Green or Workers Family Party. At least they’d be honest about their politics at that point & couldn’t hide (in plain sight) in an establishment party.
But if I was going to leave the R’s, as I did once before, I’d go to the Constitution Party.
It’s true that the GOP should have embraced the Tea Party but instead turned their backs on them. On the other hand, the Tea Party unfortunately faded into the background after the successes of 2010 so their influence dimished and allowed the GOP to go back to business as usual (i.e., snatching defeat from the jaws of victory).
My problem with the GOPe is that they are appeasers and just can’t understand that compromising with Democrats means doing things their way. Democrats are vicious infighters and play to win. Republicans perversely view a face-saving loss as a win. We need a resurgence of the Tea Party before the country goes over the cliff for good.
Meanwhile, people with functioning brains recognize that the only way to build tea party strength is from within the existing structure. That means getting out to state conventions and putting tea party minded people in policy making positions.
The GOP is making its greatest gains in the states where we firmly hold nearly half of them. Throwing that away would be pure idiocy even if it means dealing with the idiot moderates on some things.
Pick em off 1 by 1 or fail.
Sheeez, is even some cursory proofreading TOO MUCH TO ASK ? !

and apropos of nothing herein, FR is running like frozen shite this afternoon :-/grrr
Mitt Romney is no excuse to be stupid.
The legislature in my state (Michigan) is heavily RINO but have been one of the most conservative states standing in defiance of Obama in recent months. Only a true moron would hand power back to the democrats when we can keep the majority and increase the number of tea partiers at the same time.
Conservatives need to purge the RINO’s from the state GOP so we can get the damn primaries CLOSED once and for all...dems are picking our candidates by ‘crossing over’, and they will continue to do so until it is stopped.
I’ve already done it.....right after the debacle of an “election” in November. For the first time in forever, I’m now an Independent. The GOP can kiss my lily white butt.
What is meaningful is to abandon the primary system and return to state party conventions.
I’m in a State that has 77 counties (Okla.). GOPe carried everyone of them in the Presidential election. Our entire Congressional Delegation is GOP. Every statewide elected office is GOP. Although there are some true “moderates” here and there, our local GOP is by any reasonable measure conservative.
Sen. Coburn and Inhoff get some rare criticism on a particular vote or two, but overall there is not a lot of room on the right to form a viable independent party. I’m staying put.
You guys in other states where dims and Rinos already have power locked up have other considerations.
“The GOP can kiss my lily white butt.”
Uh-oh! That’s racist! :-)
“and apropos of nothing herein, FR is running like frozen shite this afternoon :-/grrr”
You misspelled “Shiite”. :-)
