I resent links that take me off the page and location I am viewing, so I always add <a href="http://www.freerepublic.com/home.htm" target="_blank" title="(opens in new tab|window)">www.Free Republic.com</a> - the URL will then keep the referring page as is, and the title shows when your mouse hovers at the link:

www.Free Republic.com

I also bold the link as in some colors they tend not to be noticeable.

I don’t think I have ever come across a post where a FReeper used a table

I use them on a regular basis to format the text layout .eg set the width of a reply.
The Freepathon threads are awash with tables.
The Canteen is a Master class in table use and decoration
Give them a go ,it can be good fun.

Pretty cool use of table there. The only way I know how to do that is within a graphic program and then adding text.

How did you add a graphic within a table without also local hosting that image on freereublic.com?

Did a restart, but it is not showing up here... I checked and it IS showing up on extensions..

What do you mean it's not showing up?

You won't see anything different about the page until you right mouse click and select "write area" from the provided menu.

Suggestion: add ->

<pre> ... </pre>

This pair forces browsers to temporarily use a "fixed font", and preserves spaces. That is extremely helpful to rapidly create a simple table so columns don't get fussed up, since nearly all "reply boxes", such as FR, use fixed font. This gives a WYSIWYG situation without using the complex table formatting in HTML and is useful for simple tabular information.

Example columns for pre:

State      Abbr.  Wind       Temperature
New York    NY     windy       cold
Penn        PA     "           cold
Florida     FL     hurricanes  nice
Illinois    Il    calm        warm

This is what it would have looked like without using pre./pre:

State Abbr. Wind Temperature
New York NY windy cold
Penn PA " cold
Florida FL hurricanes nice
Illinois Il calm warm
