I have often wondered what preferences of beverages the various Freepers have, in particular, the kind of intoxicating liquors they tried to ban back in 1920. I know by reading stories on here that many of us consume intoxicating liquors from time to time and we may even have some Freepers who have accumulated some POIs over the years (posting under the influence). Obviously, don't post your favorite intoxicating liquor if you do not want to, but I just thought it would be interesting to see our beverage choices. Especially the morning after many of us quite possibly overindulged on same the night before...wait, is it afternoon already? Darn. Having breakfast at 1PM always throws me off my game.
If you don't drink intoxicating liquors at all, feel free to tell us what beverages you do drink. Milk, apple juice, sarsaparilla? Your reply might be boring to us but let us know anyhow if you feel so inclined to share.
In response to all the other nutty threads here today seeking personal information on Freepers, I am 50, have brown hair, hazel eyes, weigh 225 pounds and I prefer female company. My waist size is 40, my shoe size is 12 and yes, I do need to keep an eye on my blood pressure. I own a dog, a cat and no, I do not snore. As for intoxicating liquors, I prefer madeira wine, Samuel Adams seasonals, Frangelico hazelnut liqueur, 100% agave tequila and the occasional bottle of champagne. But preferably not all together at the same time as what happened last night. As of this moment my favorite beverage is Gatorade.
Olde Frothingslosh.
Never a hard liquor guy and quit years ago, but when I did drink (with great urgency) I was a fan of the rot cut known as Genessee Beer. A NorthEast brew that will NOT be high on many people’s list.
But I liked it. Too much actually ;)
Strangford Lough Brewing, Legbiter Ale is my favorite because it’s $3.99 a six pack.
Luzianne sweet tea. Extra ice. No lemon.
I pretty much cut out junk food and soda to help me lose weight. Right now though I can’t seem to get enough monster.
Heart attack in a can.

or
Bourbon.
By definition, a southern American beverage.
Except in December, when I drink Canadian whiskey. My wife is Canadian.

When I'm in the mood for something different I get ruby reds from the orange grove and squeeze them with Kettle One.
You best not be ragging on my Laz. His thread was fun, a little “time out” from this crazy world we now live in.
Mocking an established FReeper is not cool.
Jefferson Very Old Small Batch Bourbon ... neat

Samuel Adams beers are excellent. Love their Octoberfest.
My SSN, DOB, weight, hair and eye color, and now you want to know what my favorite adult beverage is? That’s over the line, but ok...it’s....Pennzoil 10 W30...and none of those metrosexual synthetic additives.
Oh yeah, Bombay Blue Sapphire. I think it’s 90 proof and you can feel that extra 10 proof. It makes excellent Martinis with Tanqueray making the next best.

Or anything else which is sufficiently peaty.
I’m very partial to Mexican beers. Pacifico is my favorite followed by Sol.
Free beer if I can get it, the other kind otherwise.
a cup of Tea..
milk, sugar..
Earl Grey..
:)
My favorite “brew” is black coffee, the stronger the better. I like coffee that you can slice
whole milk with 4 scoops of nestles quick stirred in.
I used to be a beer snob when I was younger but now I drink Busch. $11.99 for an 18-pack. Not a bad deal in today’s Obamaconomy. As far as soda goes, you can always find Vernor’s Ginger Ale in my fridge. Tastes like no other ginger ale on the market. Actually tastes like ginger ale mixed with cream soda. I love the stuff!
Blue Highway wants to tell us this information.
My favorite beverage is 42.
My proof is 42
Fresca
with
Early Times
or
Vodka
And there’s always water.
Black coffee. Coffee makes everything okay. Well, most everything.
It's all good, tough. Much fun today thanks to all.
Happy New Year!
I need the name of the last four pets you have owned.
Yes, dark coffee. Espresso in Rome #1, Peet’s here in So Cal. Red wine.
42 seems to be your number ; ).
Beat you.
The three drinks in my fridge are A&W sugar free root beer, sugar free Crystal Light and Corona Extra in no particular order. The Coronas are for after working outside. The Crystal Light is my mainstay, the root beer for a quickie drink when really thirsty.
If I drink at the Elks its Amaretto!!!! Can only have one (a double) ‘cause its really sweet, very good but sweet. And I don’t drink Disaronno, I drink the round bottle di Amore, its a lot smoother.
Alcoholic beverages: a good bourbon. Cab sauv wine.
Soft drinks: diet A&W or Mug root beer. Coke Zero, too.
Water may be plain but it is refreshing.
I use google chrome as my search engine. A few times earlier today it stopped me with a malware warning when going to FR. Never seen this before. I’m just wondering if your thread that was pulled had any impact???? Tin Foil alert I guess....
1. beer: Peroni
2. wine: Burgundy
3. carbonated bev.: Mexican Coke, Canada Dry Jamaica Cola
4. kid’s drink: 16 oz of cold whole milk with two slightly heapinv teaspoons of Nestles’ Quik mixed in
5. Go to drink: Unsweetened iced tea with lemon
6. Dessert in a glass: Orange sherbrt cooler or Carvel raspberry milkshake.
7. Hot drink: Kenya AA fresh ground coffee, Sumatra or Tanzania Peaberry in a pinch.
8. Mixed drink: Tequila Sunrise by someone who knows how to make one.
Dislike carbonated beverages but will drink a good gin and tonic. I’ve never finished an entire beer in my life...despise the smell but give me my Pinot Grigio. My favorite and that of many of my friends is called “Mommy’s Time Out”. It should actually be called “Grannie’s Time Out’ since we’re all past the Mommy stage of our lives.
Barbancourt Haitian rum
I never own pets, just do lease agreements- and only for large web footed marsupials.
I bet that is so good....

3 oz Gordon’s gin
1 oz 100 proof Vodka
.5 oz Blonde Lillet
Shaken hard and served with a large, thin lemon peel.
= Vesper
That, and my trusty Glenlivet. 12-year.
I agree, it has been fun. Nice escape. Been drowning in my own sorrows since the election.
My bff and I (was at her house for election night, my cable still out because of Sandy) were throwing ourselves around on the floor, crying and hugging. We just could NOT accept it.
This indescribable feeling I have had since, deep inside, has not subsided. But Laz’s thread was the 1st FR fun postings I have had since.
I’ve had a lot of different scotches, but Lagavulin is by far my favorite.
I’m also fond of aquavit, gin & tonics, dirty gin martinis, Manhattans made with rye or good bourbon, shots of Zwack, and all kinds of old-school cocktails.
I like a good full-bodied red wine, and there is no end to the beers I enjoy, but usually I get something from the local brewery, Alaskan.
