Megan Kelly is going to interview him. Discussing now after the clerk gave a news conference stating he may be breaking the law by not releasing names; but that it was wrong to to so and he was there to protect the people of Putnam County. His first name is Dennis; but didn’t catch last name. Trying to work and catch this at the same time.
Publish the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and any other public information (criminal records, bankruptcy, lawsuits, divorce) about the publishers and staff instead.
How about someone at that newspaper explain exactly what the purpose of this is. Don’t be shy now, go ahead an let your inner-commie bastard step right up.
Funny part is that stories like this actually INSPIRE some of us to buy more guns and ammo!
It doesn’t matter if they release info....The one’s to be concerned with are those who already have the info.
Publish the names and address of everyone who has had an abortion. People have a right to know who has exercised their 4th Amendment rights too...
I don’t know why I continue to be astounded by the left. THEY demand privacy on everything else, but not something like this. This paper deserves to be deluged with complaints about this. The County Clerk deserves praise for standing up.
This is a brave man.
Convictions are useless unless you stand up for them.
....now we’re going to get stories about the evil government violating Freedom of Press....
If there ever was a reason to withhold information for security and safety reasons this is one of those. To direct criminals to those who have guns is flat out criminal. There is no benefit to the public. When the media ceases its need to fuel public emotion and get back to ‘reporting’ news not being the news, they may regain some integrity and respect.
These evil people published the names and addresses of gun owners, and revealed, by omission, those folks who don’t own guns.
If I lived in that county, and my house was burgled, whether I had a gun or not I would sue the Journal. They did, with malice aforethought, publish information they hoped would be detrimental to the safety and well-being of innocent, law-abiding people. It’s the same thing as yelling FIRE in a crowded theater or something.
It doesn’t pass the “reasonable person” standard.
