So much for the Congressman on Fox this morning that was claiming he had 20 solid votes to prevent Boehner from winning and only needed 17. I bet his office was just downgraded to the broom closet and his only assignment is the Sub Committee for Capital Potted Plant Procurement.

If he doesn’t find a way to hold the line on the AWB and the Dream Act, he’s done in 2014-one way or the other. there’s no reason for voting anymore at that point.

It might as well be Jan 2009 all over again. They don’t deserve to be in the majority now.

And thus dies the Republican Party, and with it the Republic.
What a selfish piece of human garbage.

House Republicans just handed Boehner the sword he will use to hang over their heads from now on.
I hope they all don't get too comfortable in their committee chairs. Nothing is safe. Boehner already proved that.
Republicans behave like battered spouses. They always seem to run back to the only form of love that they know, and then keep making excuses for why it's okay.

We give the GOP all three Houses for 6 years... and domestically, they can't manage a single major victory.
So they follow it up with McCain... and give us Obama.
We give them massive gains in the House in 2010 to help stop Obama's major initiatives... and they pass them all anyway.
And they follow it up by nominating Romney, who runs the most limp-wristed campaign against the easiest target ever in Presidential politics.
And now they keep Boehner, who has enabled Obama more than anyone else in the GOP.
Fine. That's your choice. You can have your party. I'm done with it.

Their next move will be to vote in lock step with the Dems to eviscerate the 2nd amendment to the U.S. constitution. Count on it. Before the end of January. They’re going to sell us all out.

No more votes for ANY Republican. If they don’t have the guts to join a third party then they don’t have the guts to represent me.

The only hope I have now is that Conservative Republicans - if there are any - surround Boehner and prevent him from making any decisions without such a committee agreeing or disagreeing with him.
He is obviously not up to the office of speakership on his own.

Congratulations. Now get to work and cut cut cut. A flat tax would be a good beginning....cut 3 departments...any 3 you want. Cut all government aid to foreign countries....cut all government aid to non profits....and that is on the first day.

I saw the signs this morning.
The GOP is as much my enemy, and an enemy of American freedom, as the Democrats are.
Every little bit.
Guarentee you that sweeping and complete gun control is 100% likely to pass, and that in the end, our gun laws will be much more stringent than Russias.

That should not surprise anyone. When push comes to shove, the system protects its own. The Republican Party serves two purposes: 1. To prevent the formation of a legitimate political party. 2. To serve as a whipping boy for the actual Socialists Party, a/k/a, the Democrat Party. And to act as straight men for the Democrats
