Any relations to Bettie page?
Same last name and both famous in 50’s.
Little before my time.

RE: Any relations to Bettie page?

No relation. Patti Page’s real name is Clara Ann Fowler.

Several great version of Tennessee Waltz have been recorded as well.

This one from the great Canadian Alto, Ann Murray:

This one from the late great Eva Cassidy:

OMG - catch me off guard as 1 of those times I assumed she was already dead!

Doesn’t anyone remember her “How Much is that Doggie in the Window?”

We still have sheet music; mom must’ve bought it or something.

The Hound Dog in the Window--Homer & Jethro--a song which answers both Patti Page's The Doggie in the Window and Big Mama Thornton's Hound Dog. All of these are from 1953.

I wonder what Lane Kiffin’s version of the Tennessee Waltz sounds like.

She was the best and my favorite. I would see her on TV and marvel at her delivery and voice. She had a way of flicking her hand that was special as she was singing.
