SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — Special Olympics Southern California is raffling off a $4 million Sherman Oaks estate or a cash payout of $2 million during its fourth annual Dream House raffle, which kicks off Wednesday.

The proceeds from the raffle of the 7,500-square-foot Mediterranean-style custom home will benefit 12,000 SOSC athletes.

Tickets are $150.

The final raffle entry deadline is May 24, but for those who want to participate in monthly early-bird drawings, the deadlines are: Feb. 15, March 15 and April 12.

The 2012 Dream House raffle netted more than $850,000.

Will the winner also receive a license to carry and other gun rights in order to protect that piece of property?
