Biden makes no gaffs, but makes foolish, yet calculated statements to misdirect attention away from or to certain events or points of view. If he actual made the statement in question, my feeling the purpose was to "red herring" the pro gun lobby into such a rage over possible gun confiscation that when a less draconian ban on assault weapons is proposed, the ban will pass with little opposition. For the DC types it is a win win situation. The Rats will get their assault gun ban and the GOP can say they prevented confiscation. FRiends, I feel Plugs is playing us like a fiddle.
