Ever since the tragic massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, CNN host Piers Morgan has been on an anti-gun tirade all while lacking common sense and basic facts that drown his gun control rhetoric.
Piers Morgan claims that if assault riffles and high-capacity magazines were outright illegal to own, 27 people wouldn’t have been killed at the elementary school in Newton, Connecticut last year, nor 12 people in Aurora, Colorado. What Morgan fails to realize most is that criminals don’t follow laws they don't want to; that’s why they’re criminals in the first place.
Looking at the Connecticut shooting specifically, the state has some of the strictest laws in the nation. To obtain a gun there, you must be 21. You must apply for a local permit with the town’s police chief and be fingerprinted for a state and federal background check. The process includes a 14-day waiting period, and the state requires a gun safety course for anyone who purchases a handgun.
The gunman in Connecticut wasn’t eligible to own a gun, as he wasn’t 21. He stole the weapons from his mother, who legally obtained them.
In Chicago, another strict gun zone, there were more than 500 homicides last year, well above the 405 casualties of coalition troops in Afghanistan last year. Chicago is a city where gun control has exceedingly failed and their efforts should not be repeated nationally as the White House has suggested in the past.

The function of the news media is to turn a profit, and that is accomplished by ratings that drive up the price they can charge for advertising.

RE: I looked up this guy and nowhere can I find information that states he is has a green card or anything else relating to his legal sfatus.
I spoke to a friend who works with CNN who works at HR. The man HAS a green card. He was hired by big media on a working visa ( which a lot of foreigners have ) and eventually was eligible to apply for a green card ( which he has ).
Suffice it to say that he is here in the USA LEGALLY, according to our labor laws.
I would be surprised if Piers Morgan has ever been right about anything in his life. He is an arrogant, condescending little prig who thinks that he has the right to tell anyone- especially citizens of a country he is a visitor in, what to do.

Well, I wish him luck with that (Not). It seems that gun owners on the left (which didn’t surprise me, really, though I don’t know if they’ll baaa like a sheep in the end) are putting up a pretty fair fight for their 2A rights. (This is not say that I think there should be *any* further legislation regarding weapons ownership- NONE. Imho, “arms” covers *all* weapons & “shall not be infringed” leaves nothing to interpretation or parsing. Our Founding Fathers didn’t “parse” or pussyfoot around)
Every single day, it is affirmed to me that entirely rejecting the media was the right decision. None of them are worth the powder & lead...
Logic and facts are useless against these die-hard hoplophobes. They either hate guns or want to rule over a disarmed populace of sheep or both. Arguing with them is a waste of time other than perhaps for entertainment value, shortening their lifespan by raising their blood pressure or maybe swaying fence-sitters (are their any left?) who may be watching.
Piers is wrong every morning when he dresses as a man. I am sure he sits to pee.
