GARDENDALE, Ala. Police say an Alabama pastor shot and killed his wife and wounded their 18-year-old daughter before stabbing himself in their home.
Authorities say the Rev. Terry Greer is being charged with murder in the killing of 52-year-old Lisa Greer and attempted murder in the wounding of Suzanna Greer, a University of South Alabama student.
Greer remains hospitalized with what police say are self-inflicted knife wounds.
His wife died early Friday after being shot on Thursday. Police say the daughter took the gun from her father and escaped.

Not only that....but the Contempt Worship leader was arrested at the end of December for child solicitation. I feel so bad for that church.
We knew the pastor indirectly. Attended a funeral he did a few years ago and know some in his past congregation.
Coupled with your post, this one isn’t passing the smell test - on medical leave since the fall for a car wreck - or was it heart problems? Call it both, as long as it keeps him away....
And the rock band leader at the church just made bail for attempted child molestation. The first to squeal gets the deal.
Every child in the church probably needs to be interviewed by trained professionals.
The police are looking into the possibility of the two matters being related.
Good. They may not be, but it does need to be fully looked at. Officials are sometimes shy about looking too closely at church leaders.
The preacher at First Methodist in Dallas, TX was the only suspect in the strangulation of his wife.
“Every child in the church probably needs to be interviewed by trained professionals.”
Like the “trained professionals” in the Little Rascal Daycare case?
I absolutely detest child molesters.
But, sometimes “trained professionals” have an agenda. A family friend was convinced by a “trained professional counselor” that her marital problems were due to the fact that she had been molested as an infant/toddler. It is very, very unlikely that this ever happened. However, it was a better excuse for the marital problems than the actual fact that the woman had had an affair.
Yes, this needs to be investigated, but with the trained professionals, include people with a bit of wisdom, experience and common sense and no axe to grind or political office or liability payout on the horizon.
